  1. It would most likely be at the convention center as it goes by the tracks already and was built with the ability to easily add a train station someday. This was actually just being discussed in about in another thread but I forget which one.
  2. Debatable :p Austin's stadium is automatically kinda gross because it's basically at their Easton equivalent. I've been to the Domain and it's......not where I'd want a stadium.
  3. Question.....can they really kill this project? Like, how can I fight back? lol . Can I donate somewhere?
  4. Actually, I can try to provide some insight here as I used to work in 200 Civic Center Drive. But no more post-pandemic....my company ended our lease with the three floors we had :' ( It's true the garage has a historical designation, as I believe it was the first one parking garage built in the city, however this was even before Lazarus gained ownership. I was working there when it went through the sale to Lazarus and the entire way the garage operated changed, and I am pretty sure it was already designated as one. And yes, it's stupid. That garage is the creepiest, scariest, weirdest, parking garage in the world and it should be torn down :p (seriously, the lowest level of the garage is horror movie material!) (it's not quite that bad but it's definitely a weird ass garage, lol)
  5. That train picture is really cool and gives a good idea of how the Franklinton project is already changing the skyline a bit. Also, I'm not sure the significance of 4027 but that's also a cool locomotive. Also THREE of them!
  6. I kinda love it?????????? Except for those basic crosswalks, of course :p
  7. In general, I stopped following Jeffrey Park developments. I was curious if this is what was originally supposed to be that tower portion? Did they scale it back?
  8. ^^^^100% The city is about 20 years overdue for a redo of Broad Street. You can land a plane on that thing. It's time to change.
  9. I think I did a weird quote-within-quote but I actually had this picture in mind when I asked this. Those poles and wires are legit insane! haha
  10. Sorry if this has been discussed before, but do we know if they're planning on burying the utilities? I'm assuming yes?
  11. Ugh, I hate that they proudly say they left Akron, pretty much.
  12. Please. PLEASE. PLEAASSEEE get rid of parking minimums.

I wonder if Ohio will ever be able to attract a younger, more diverse population. As a lifelong Ohioan, it's been so frustrating watching the state flail for basically my entire life. I know I'm not alone here. We're all on an Ohio forum, after all, so seeing it be better is probably all our wishes and desires. Sorry. Just needed to rant. I just want Ohio to be a premier state sometime in my life. Is that too much to ask? : ppppp

I think part of her draw is that she is a non-partisan health expert. Running for Senate for either party would ultimately ruin that image, I would think, no?
  15. I used to work in that white building on the left side of this picture (old Columbia Gas building) and we had an amazing view of Franklinton. I'm SO bummed that I'll never get to see these buildings go up from that perspective. We've been working from home since March and they ended their lease (we had 3 floors) so I will quite literally not be able to go back up there. Sigh...

I feel like the transit section of this forum gets lost. It makes me sad because I believe this is pretty huge news and unless people are talking about it elsewhere, it's being completely lost in the shuffle of other things.

Inject it all straight into my veins.
  18. They really, really need to make 4th and Summit more walkable. I get anxiety just looking at this picture with that puny sidewalk, not to mention the part with the utility pole.
