  1. Can this get any better? And bless you for your attendane.
  2. ^^^ This is amazing news. I seriously hope they can keep this momentum going. Hell, even accelerate it. Ideas: More (and proper) BRT along identified transit corridors Work with the city to remove the parking meters completely from the bus lane downtown on High St. (seriously....the buses have to swerve out into traffic sometimes for 2-3 parking spots)!!! Expand eligible zones for CPass and court more employers
  3. I really liked it! I thought the unique layouts of all the different rooms were super cool. I really wanted to move in back when I toured it. I would have been one of the first. I toured it twice while it was still under construction and not even all the rooms had all the fixtures in them yet. And I would have moved in......but it's still too expensive for my blood, though. I just can't do $900 and up : (
  4. Some progress pictures I took today of a couple projects under construction in the Short North (first three pictures are different angles of the same building for different perspectives....I forget the name of this development atm): Phase 2 behind the Grandview Mercantile site BONUS PICTURES of my favorite 2 buildings in the Short North:
  5. Now the students at the night time St. Mary's classes will be safe from the horrors of drag.
  6. These also seem like the ultimate form of car accommodation. Like, beyond anything I've ever known even to exist to keep cars around. I can't say I'm a fan.
  7. ^^^I have a lot of things I'd like to say but......I think it is best to keep my mouth shut on this one ?
  8. Ugh. That's annoying. I wonder if they regret it, lol.
  9. So I was just around Lane avenue this past weekend and I'm a little confused. Why is that single State Farm house still there? Is Arlington gateway what's going on the other side (back/west) of it? And the other thing across the street being built (east)...is that something separate from the Gateway project? This house just seems completely out of place now and I can't figure out what's going on or why they decided to keep it there, lol.
  10. I've been waiting for years for this. I lived across the street from this plaza for about 4 years and wanted it redeveloped. I hope they don't disappoint. This is such a great opportunity for more density. I really hope they have something a little higher than 3 to 5 stories planned. It's right on a frequent bus route, too. C'mooon!
  11. I was in the building once looking at a unit facing the tracks WHILE the train went by. It honestly wasn't that bad.
  12. This is a huge downgrade to the original proposal, which I thought looked stunning. This looks blegh.
  13. The DGX is amazing. It's like so cheap and convenient, lol. DGX was busy the 2 out of 3 times I've been in there, lol. I think CVS slowed down a lot because of it. I needed one thing from CVS that DGX didn't sell and CVS is usually busy but it wasn't when I went. All anecdotal, of course. I also strongly believe that this will be the last grocery store for a very long time to go in downtown.
  14. Why not have one more pic? Here's from High & Swan. It looks much larger from High Street here in person than the picture portrays, imo.
  15. I mean the Kaufman development land that we're talking about is BEHIND the one owned by Woods, right? What I'm trying to say is that I think NIMBYs opposed this one more than the Grandview Mercantile site, White Castle site, etc. because the Kaufman land does not face or sit on High Street like the other two mentioned here. It's more "within" the neighborhood. Please let me know if I'm vastly "off base" and missing something big here, but that's why I put that snarky comment about "it's not on High street". I truly think that's why it got 10x more pushback.
  16. Seriously, though........this is the one that goes BEHIND the Local Bar plaza, right? How much life is left in that plaza now?
  17. ^^^ Yes, I meant to say that this building has really added a lot. I love it.
  18. I've noticed a few new COTA shelters around town. Hope they keep installing them. Can you imagine if this had proper striped crosswalk markings? Ugh.... Great pictures, btw.
  19. The CMAX is always packed whenever I've ridden it. I think they even had two buses running next to each other once (intentionally) because one isn't enough to hold everyone. However, if you ask me, it should have been an articulated bus in the first place with dedicated lanes like a real BRT line BUT WHAT DO I KNOW.
  20. I took a picture yesterday! Was in Old North. I'm not there very often but I took this picture thinking of you guys : D
  21. I love these so, so much. Too bad I can never afford something like this, lol. I'd move there in a second.
  22. Obligatory: CU's pictures are outdated.....it looks much bigger than that now (see post above for more up-to-date photo) I was going to post in this thread this morning but I didn't have a picture. I got a good look at it from *High Street* looking down an alley and wow.....it looks so much bigger than I could have imagined. I'm quite surprised.
