  1. I noticed this just yesterday! Glad they weren't frosted. I figured it was only temporary, though. There's no way Townhall (the restaurant moving in) would want it like that. Btw I ate at Townhall in Cleveland for the first time recently and thought it was really good and I liked the look of the restaurant. Excited for this new one down here! Although the restaurant is Cleveland-themed (or at least its logo) so it's a been strange, lol.
  2. This part of downtown has always been strange to me. I can't really put a finger on it but I don't really like it. I hope some changes are in store.
  3. This is the second time Borror bought out the Ohio Dem building? Talk about a political agenda! /s
  4. So that 5th & Highland development: There are now steel beams in the ground on the east side of the parcel. Things seem to be moving quickly now. They weren't there yesterday. I missed my chance to snap a photo when I passed by on the bus.
  5. I literally just caught up with all of this. This is insane! That building is beautiful and fits Grandview Ave. perfectly. Exactly what hurdles does this have to cross to get approved? City Council? I hope it gets approved......
  6. Uh oh. What happened in Grandview that I missed? Edit: Never mind. Yeesh!
  7. A huge reason I like Trader Joe's so much is because of the store size. I just wish there were more small grocery stores around here. My choices are Aldi, Trader Joe's, and that one Market Dstrict Express in Bexley. I waste more time running around the giant footprint that is Kroger or Giant Eagle trying to find everything.......
  8. I feel like Gateway can't keep a tenant for more than a year. What gives? And I'm surprised that Panera left. I stopped there frequently.
  9. omg this is amazing. I live right by here...sorta! I live in 5th by Northwest and can easily get here by bike and Trader Joe's is my favorite grocery store! Honestly, getting rid of my car three years ago, the biggest thing I've missed were my weekly Trader Joe's trips. This will allow me to continue to do that but now on bike!! Hooray! Unfortunately I feel like this isn't going to be up and running for quite a while. The Gateway project probably won't be complete until 2021, right?
  10. Broad Street is wide enough to land an airplane. Something needs to be done yesterday, imo. It's honestly ridiculous.
  11. They need people like you who live there to attend the meetings and show some sanity. But I fully expect a coordinated and scripted assault on anything and everything proposed at the meeting, though.
  12. I really hope they double down on the CPASS: Expand the eligible footprint and get more business to opt in.
  13. Looks like Laughlin's Bakery has permanently closed. I was a big fan, but I didn't go there enough, apparently ? https://www.10tv.com/article/laughlins-bakery-short-north-closes-due-poor-sales-2020-jan
  14. The "other" look is just the older style. Nationally, Target is currently converting all their stores to this format, but they aren't all there yet. They started with their higher-trafficked stores first.
  15. ^^^The interior looks largely the same as all the newly renovated ones plus the new "urban" Target bear OSU. Lennox has already been redesigned inside to look like this as well. I personally love it. They've done a lot to draw me back into their stores. I simply hate going into the old-style ones. They're so grody to me! .... looking at you, Polaris Target!
  16. That big gray wall behind it that was meant to covered is just so lovely
  17. So like....that glass is the fourth wall of the pool and we will see people's bodies from there? On High Street? I don't think I'd feel very comfortable swimming there, lol.
  18. Can this still be built? I need it to be so these people can feel the hate in their hearts bubble over. I will make a new Facebook account after leaving it 10 years ago just for the meltdowns.
  19. As a 32 year old Millenial, I would love nothing more than an affordable condo.
  20. Other than the vents, this building isn't even bad. But like you all, I can't unsee them now that it's been pointed out and the building looks like it has a disease, lol.
  21. This is the worst case scenario. It's SUCH a much larger area than--using the example they used--Atlanta's Beltline that I struggle see how they can make it a 240 (or whatever) mile version of that.
  22. ^^^^^ I honestly did not know this was a thing! That was indeed awesome. But, I hadn't heard of the Rapid5 thing until I Googled it just now (if it's in another thread, I think I missed it). So...man....the video for THAT is what got me hyped. I'm so happy right now. It's the kind of dream-big projects I want Columbus to have more of. As emotional as I got with this, I couldn't imagine how I'd feel if a similar initiative happened involved mass transit, haha. I think I'd lose my mind! Here's the new Rapid5 video:
  23. Woof, this thread went places. I'm just hear to say that I don't really like Easton but I hope they can do some things to make me like Easton.
