Thats because I was in that region a second time but I'm not sure if I was technically in Cleveland and frankly I didn't care!! *Runs away aimlessly* Maybe I took this statement...and a few other earlier posts, the wrong way? And MTS....I HAVE been hit in the head WAY too many times with too many things! (and don't you and MayDay overthink that!!!!)

I agree with CDM completely! I live and work in the city...and the areas mentioned above are in no way Shaker Square/Edgewater/West Park. There are some pretty dicey areas even though there have been some improvements. As mentiooned earlier, the "forgotten triangle" (Woodland/Buckeye/Kinsman area) and the Fairfax area (E 79th/Cedar) are some of the most abandonded areas in the city. Empty houses, lots, and buildings/factories...I too have likened it to rural Alabama. Not saying that there hasn't been SOME redevelopement..but overall, you wouldn't find me going for a jog in that area at night OR the day. I can completely understand the perception that LAsam has. I guess for those that live in some of the areas mentioned, they DO see the progress. For me, I see the shittiest of the areas because rarely am I called to the nicer parts. As for an outsider, I can completely understand the perceptions of the area. Even from the main drag, it can seem a little intimidating to an outsider.

Thanks about the GF..she IS a cutie...she is actually coming here this weekend for Tgiving.....this is more of a break period than anything else...so it isn't OVER over...just kinda..shit who knows! Gay or straight..these relationship things can be freakin confusing!!!!!! (stupid I know, but it works for now). I hurt myself helping to carry a VERY large woman (570+)to an EMS unit, stepped off the curb and POP...there went the knee!(this was on June 14th!) Soooooo...workers comp in their ever so progressive ways took until 5 weeks ago to approve my surgery...I am hoping to be back no later than Jan.

MTS...thanks for the info! The only thing is, my first stop when I land is usually at 54th and Roosevelt in Woodside, Queens..so that is the best route for me...for now.

^ I have to agree...I think LGA is the easiest to use out of the big 3 over there. I am usually in Queens..it is so easy to jump on the Q33 bus to get there..then if you need to get into the city..it'll drop you right to the the 7 line (along with a few others)....I think it does the city more than justice... Never flew into Cincy or Cbus..so I have no idea how easy it is to get into the city center...I am pleased with Cleveland's ease of getting DT, with cabs if you use them , and the train. I wish down the road you would see a midfield terminal siilar to Atlanta with underground shuttles to each terminal...and maybe even to the car rental center.

I'm not quite sure why people keep blaming the "government" for banning smoking. It was the PEOPLE that voted on this issue. If both issues would have failed, then things would have been the same...am I wrong?

I would love to see the automatic seat covers in the bathrooms like they have in O'hare. It's nice to not have to wipe piss off the seat and build a nest before I plant my rear!
