Columbus: OSU / University Area Developments and News
DrFrankenmac replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionA reply on Columbus Underground’s Facebook post said that it looks like the late Neil House downtown. It just needs a section connecting the towers instead of having a cavern.

Columbus: OSU / University Area Developments and News
DrFrankenmac replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionA friend of mine who is in the know about church stuff on the University Area told me a couple of interesting things. First, that University Baptist is looking to develop their plot into a mixed use building part of which the church will occupy. He said it was gonna be the whole stretch from Lane to Norwich but I don’t know if they own all that land. Second, this might be public already though I couldn’t find mention of it, that Summit on 16th Methodist Church will be leaving their building on 16th and Waldeck and merging with another Methodist congregation. That leaves a nice plot close to the 15th and High development that I’m sure the vultures are circling over.

Columbus: University District: South Campus Gateway
Another Gateway tenant bites the dust. Five Guys isn’t just closed, it’s gone. And I swear I passed by the other day and it was open.

Columbus: Downtown: Discovery District / Warehouse District / CSCC / CCAD Developments and News
DrFrankenmac replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionI was watching the architecture episode of Columbus Neighborhoods and they showed a model of an expansion of the Christopher Inn featuring a space needle with rotating restaurant. Looked around this site and the rest of the internet and it doesn’t seem to be posted anywhere except in the video. I figured it was worth sharing for those who have not seen it. Funny thing is that it appears that the land where this would have been built is only a parking lot so an updated version could still be built there if anyone with nostalgia and very deep pockets wanted to.

Columbus: Downtown: Canopy by Hilton
I’m sure it’s wishful/optimistic thinking on the developers part but who knows. In the meantime it’s a great place for a billboard or mural.

Columbus: Downtown: Canopy by Hilton
Just noticed the bricked over windows on the eastern side. Wonder if they’re expecting a new neighbor at what’s currently the steakhouse.
