  1. When will the day arrive when we can get a sidewalk shed to keep the sidewalk open? Instead we get a chain link fence to make you cross the street.
  2. Yes they cut them down. Now we get a full UNOBSTRUCTED view of this beautiful orange and brown monstrosity of a building. I also have a feeling this drive-thru exiting directly onto the sidewalk is gonna cause problems.
  3. Can anyone confirm if this thing is wider than it is tall?....Sorta tall and fat.
  4. Curious if the dining room chair and wheelbarrow are being used for structural support?
  5. ....and the attached community center?
  6. It was Vine and Kilbourne, not Vine and Cherry as I said earlier. From Nationwide on 12/1/22: Columbus Powerline Project Please be informed of a city initiative to bury the overhead AEP powerlines along Vine Street and Kilbourne Avenue. The first phase of work has begun, and will last approximately three weeks, weather dependent. This phase requires temporary closures on Neil Avenue. As such, work will take place during the lowest traffic-impact hours of 7 PM to 6 AM to complete the initial phase. Work following the first phase will continue over the next several months, during normal business hours. Detours will be in place during times that traffic may be impacted. All tenant building access and parking will remain open and accessible, and power will not be impacted by the work.
  7. Pretty sure they are burying the electric lines on this section of Vine and Cherry,
  8. City Winery is a pretty major attraction in NYC, Chicago, Philly, etc. Happy to see them expand to Columbus.
  9. I've been in this building...nothing spectacular. I also did a streetscape investigation for 5th Ave maybe 20 years ago in grad school, nice to see some movement!
  10. Here is the list and where each company is Headquartered: * JLL - Chicago, IL JLL, we are here ready to roll.
  11. Maybe someone said it before....but based on Welltower being the buyer, I'm assuming this will be some sort of senior housing. Welltower has deep pockets to get this done.
  12. Considering everything that was provided to OhioHealth from the city and state on this deal, the least they can do it contribute toward finishing the bike path through their property and taking it off Milton.
  13. I agree. They bark the loudest and are accustomed to having their demands met. Eventually some developers just say F it, we can tell where we're not wanted. The only solution is some effective counter-balance speaking out in favor of these proposals when warranted.
  14. The commission is advisory only; I think in recent years the Clintonville area commission has become a bit more pro-development and not quite as backwards. I think this proposed development represents the path of least resistance by the developer in terms of having no variances, not having to go before the area commission and therefore, not having public input, and not having to assemble the entire site and negotiate with multiple property owners. The Clintonville NIMBYs had more of an impact on this development than the commission.
