It is crazy and thinking that this city is the only city that is quick to drop the race card is also crazy. not implying that its the only city to do such, but I'm from NE Ohio and race never seamed to be such an issue as it is in cincy, maybe its me, maybe its the media, I don't know.
  3. That looks like something out of iraq

Response from most coaches has echoed Kelly's. But Frank heard from one coach - whose team plays most games on fields not part of the improvement program - who called the project "racist" because all of the fields are in predominantly black neighborhoods and the teams that use them are made up mostly or entirely of black youths. "The individual told me we were coming across as looking exclusive," Frank says. " 'When are you going to spread the resources?' Well, nobody is going to apologize for spreading resources to inner-city kids.' " Is this coach implying what i think he is? some sort of revers racism, because they are fixing up innercity ball parks. That's crazy and I hate that this city is so quick to drop the race card, It just makes me so sick.
  5. once again kentucky gets it right, marketing things for all income ranges. man i never thought i would be saying that, Kentuckians are more progressive then Ohioans.
  6. I agree, but then what they are building is going to be a glorified retirement home.
  7. For 750k I'm not doing a dam thing to the house/condo :-D
  8. I wonder if Madisonville is the "next" neighborhood that's really going to turn around. To bad its not northside, experiencing such development.
  9. why even have the token residential. If the free market and the neighborhood are demanding a mall type development just build the mall. If you are trying to do mixed use, with a project as big as millworks you should have a tone more condos, and the price rage should be all over the place from 150k -1.2m I would like to see around 90-120 units in a development this size.
  10. "I'm not concerned with them choking on the debt," he said. "My only concern is it's a bad time to be getting in that much debt with interest rates rising." True statement, the grow or die theory has some huge holes in it. I still like the pickup even though i unloaded my FUN shares last month, the season pass ideal that can work for any park could be great for Ohio tourism.
  11. hmmm 25-40 condos with a project this big but yet no-one agrees that 38-40 condos in a site that's only maybee 400 foot x 2000 foot in Clifton might be an issue. (my sq footage is probably off)

I live in Clifton, roughly 3 miles from downtown we get deer all the time. I love it
  13. In 2001, Anheuser-Busch sold Sea World of Ohio to Six Flags. and then six flags sold it to ceder piont with gauaga lake but they didnt get shamu looking at some files, when six flags purchased the property, the animals (the brand) was not apart of the deal. This enabled AB to expand their san diego & san antonio properties (the winter homes of various animals) as shipping the animals to/from Cleveland in the late fall then again in the spring was costly. Good point I don't think i would have thought off that, shipping a whale has got to cost allot of money.
  14. Brand says. He cites the recent closing of New World Bookstore and Za, the former Uno's Restaurant & Bar site. 2 things wrong with this at first glance, Za's is not closed. And its allways good to see objective journalism from the developer /sarcasm/ I'm not sure were i fall in how i feel about this I'm sure that the condos are going to help not hurt my property value, I just don't like the ideal of an 8 story building even if just from howell side, and I'm not sure this is the best point in economic cycles with rising interest rates, and a possible recession coming to be building 38-40 condos that wont be done for 2 years. If it was a smaller building (like the one in Hyde park sq)with a more reasonable number of condos 10-15, I'm sure i would be all for it. also if they can pre-sell 80% of the condos that would ease some fears of mine.

  24. Not that big of a deal, So they didn't have the power requirements, and now people have to drive 30 min to Delaware. cry me a river, at least they still have jobs.
  25. well its not that they needed a war to have lots of sex, its that during the war people were depressed so they had less sex, (no one wants to have children if they are going to die in war) then when the war is over and all the young men come home, well you get the picture. hence the Baby boom.
