Thanks for posting - the current iteration is 1000% better than the green and grey that we almost got. Its years at this point, but I wonder if the tailwinds were ever great enough to build the original design before Landmarks got in the way with their required setbacks.

East Cleveland: Development and News
If I worked in the hospitals or at Case, I'd fully consider it. It's like a 5/15 minute bike/walk to one of the hottest areas in the state. This part of EC has some interesting architecture sprinkled throughout the streets too. There are plenty of areas around UC that Knez is marketing that folks wouldn't have thought about ten years ago.

You say this any time the lake comes up. Go to Buffalo - they have tons of outdoor activites in spite of the cold and wind (two full size ice rinks open to the elements!, skating on the Old Erie Canal!), Detroit is bustling in winter, Chicago has people out and about, and other cities do just fine by embracing their climate. Yeah! We live on a windy great lake, but there's no reason we can't embrace it. There are a handful of days where the wind rolling up E9 is enough to make you duck into a building but that's what warming huts and businesses are for, aka potential development down there.

Cleveland-Akron: Bicycling Developments and News
Eh, honestly it's a great compromise. You really cant exist in NEO without a car and that isn't changing anytime soon. This is where I laugh though - a handful of comments on social media revolve around: who will think of the commuters, taking street parking for bike lanes, and nobody uses the bike lanes, among the typical peanut gallery (15 minute city conspiracies, anyone?). All of these comments are such an old trope. I'd love to tell folks that the city is making things better for people who live in the city (and visitors that aren't in a car), but it's not worth it with so many people (or bots, whatever).

If the democrats in Columbus want it, that most likely means the R's will vote against it out of spite. In a state where R's have a majority of everything, I wouldnt read much, if any, into the dem funding proposals.

To borrow a phrase from PGH, what a jagoff. The hubris is astounding. Sounds like a high school breakup letter lol.
