Cleveland Development Map
If you're curious about FORMER (like 1830s) development of the brewery scene, check out this app I put together for a conference earlier this year (it's an animation of breweries opening from around 1830-1980): https://veganbrisket.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=19628b56e7f8479c9261b7700272616c Also, here's current breweries by their date opened (timelapse): https://veganbrisket.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=fca75ab41c884218bfe9236f80303ba8 And finally, if you have out of towners looking for local beer or coffee near downtown here ya go: https://veganbrisket.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=94602106e5b3423981c98ead10b876d6 Ideally I'd like to do a heatmap of projects coming online based on what yinz have already put together ? cheers and happy friday!

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Walked down to the Play Ball Park at lunch (around 12:30 for crowd context), gave me butterflies to see the greenspace so well utilized- kids throwing baseballs, batting practice, band stand, all that jazz. I also wandered around Tower City/The Avenue, that area cant be converted fast enough...kind of felt embarrassed for how barren it is and how that must come off for a first impression. Lastly, there's volunteers everywhere (not just down by the Convention Center - E 4th., Public Square, E. 9th, etc.) answering questions and providing wayfinding. Absolutely awesome call on whoever set that up!! The players posters (straight ahead) have speakers on the sides, and a DJ set up at the white tent in the middle Batting Practice Zipline from Mall to Mall! The entrance to PBP, also this area is where all the sponsors are set up (Coke, Utz Chips, Kingsford Charcoal, all that jazz) Panoramic Shot Looking towards the concert stage (there's a mini field setup straight ahead orange bounded area)

With everything else going on, I forgot how huge this project will be. Forgive me for bringing a post forward a few pages, but wow, for some reason I thought this was going to be much less substantial and more in line with smaller builds in the area. This is going to be awesome! (Sorry for stating the obvious haha)- Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen

They arent in order though! Booo lol- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News

Looking over the brochure, it kind of reminds me of a scaled up and more attractive version of HARBORCENTER in Buffalo (well, some of it at least - ground level retail, parking deck, tower, large footprint, etc.).- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News

Whoever came up with the system assumed that on one book and page (eg., xxx-xx-100) there'd only be 300 total 'traditional land' parcels. While this is true for a lot of suburban builds, but it gets trickier in the city or areas that are undergoing intense subdivision (mostly outskirts at this point). Add to that that parcel numbers are no longer recycled (eg, a parcel is split (123-45-001) and becomes 123-45-002 and 123-45-003, and then is further subdivided with sequential numbers) and 300 will probably end up being low. The system isn't perfect (I'm not sure when they started going by this standard) which is why you'll see some outliers, but another hint in the county viewer for air rights is there's a slightly different symbology for air parcels (dashed line) and the information when you click on it in the viewer should note that it's an AR parcel. The nature of the viewer doesn't do any favors when they're stacked (think Tower City), likewise condo points are jumbled too on larger buildings. This is way off topic, but just a bit of insight into parcels, hope this helps a bit! With that I think I just outed where I work lol- Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
Semantics, but those aren't Air Right Parcels in the traditional sense, without getting into the deed, I'd guess these parcels in question have an easement for the RTA going through, but are still the same parcel. I don't mean to be coming off like a jerk but here's a breakdown of county parcel numbers: Either way, it's an interesting strip of parcels! Curious what they'd be able to fit in.- Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
Great map! I'd like to deploy some esri webmap animations and/or some type of application, maybe next monsoon we get hah.- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
Good call on the insurance, Pattakos in that post above are the lawyers out of Fairlawn.- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
DTM *trustees* love the city so much they hired a law firm out of Fairlawn, so many contradictions with these folks.- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News

PS- I'd love to know how they targeted me for this junk post- Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway: Battery Park
There's something to be said for a great cup of close-by drip coffee, the above shops have that (minus Koffee and Gypsy Beans), but I'd think the neighborhood could support a Pour or something with high quality coffee.- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
Chicken and the egg, you need business and amenities to spark apartments and residents. There's still plenty of vacant and underutilized land in the Midtown/Euclid corridor for your plan to take shape.- Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
Lol this is some deep throat level commenting, "I'm going to count to 10, and if it's false say something, if not I'll go with it"- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News

Three years, that's a fast turnaround!- Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
I can't wait to hear the old, white, Chardon inhabiting Dunham board members get in a tizzy over this. The area where the CF wants to locate is a desolate lot right now, not a park as they previously stated it was. If anything this'll bring more money to Dunham Tavern, and protect that land from development (CF obviously respects the historical nature of the DTM site).- Cleveland: Rocket Arena (Gund Arena)
Crossing the road feels dangerous again. I didn't realize how much that divider (and two less lanes) of traffic made it feel.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
My phone camera is pretty terrible, going to have to get this with an actual camera, but it does fill a nice hole from this angle. On my way back to the office I also was handed one of these, sounds like they're making a hard push to get things leased!- Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
Just get some dang shovels in the ground already! I've only lived here a handful of years I can't imagine how annoying this start/stop game has to have been with the UO community over the past 10!! - Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
