Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Actually had my phone out in time this morning: And it's not *as* visible in this photo but with the naked eye, it's a pretty obvious addition to the skyline: And Edgewater on Sunday: Also @Pleco great variety of shots and angles!

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
What's the saying? Don't throw stones if you live...ah nevermind Back on topic though, I like the idea of reuse of some spaces - seems like it'd be a weird security nightmare if you had this type of mixed development in 925 - are there any places that have a courthouse, law offices, commercial, and residential in the same building? I'm sure it's a yes, but I'd like to see how that works. That said 925 is massive enough to really cordon off spaces for specific uses.

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
The mayor campaigned hard on this and this is one of the very few things that he can point to as this coming true, without going too far off the rails, the People Over Cars mayor and associated strategies don't seem to exist. That said, I've been told that next spring we should see a lot of action re: bike/ped infrastructure but until then I'll remain skeptical. Back to the thread topic - I've gone by a few times and it's really nicely done with the Adirondack chairs and whatnot. The park needs something (shade?) to make it more inviting, though.

Cleveland: Downtown: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Expansion
There's many genres of rock - they can bring in indie rockers, jam band rockers, heavy metal rockers (every year it seems like someone gets snubbed), punk rockers, and so on. They need to catch up with some of the genres and that would definitely pick ppl up.

Sidenote, I peeked into the new AJ Rocco space and there's still framing up everywhere (but workers inside, so there's that) but sheesh so much for opening spring of 2023, might be spring of 2024 at this pace. Cle dot had an optimistic article a few weeks ago, I'm not seeing it happening anytime soon.

I feel like it's been broken for a while now. Maybe it's just my account but I've had issues w/the crains access for at least a year.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
When Superior angles a bit away from downtown (think I90 overpass) it really pops, by the time I got my phone out it was a little too late- Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)

Psh that's what the Columbus section is for! And yeah, seriously signs, and I like your idea of distinct signs and noting where things are. When I did it, it was a million degrees out and didn't realize how much I'd be screwed without water in areas like Bridge of Dreams section (Killbuck to Danville). I actually came off trail and biked around Brinkhaven looking for a spigot I could grab water from, no dice...it wasn't until I got to Danville that I could stock up at the store. So glad I didn't opt for the up and over strategy by Killbuck (520/CR6 split) and went around that hill.- Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
As of a 2022 Cleveland.com article, the county is 1.5B in debt and can (at that time) bond another $2.3B. Between a jail and courthouse (and a tax hike to boot) you're coming up pretty close to that $2.3B number. The city's bonding capacity isn't as transparent but I'd imagine it's much lower. Not sure how it's possible to pay for half of a massive billion+ dollar project. People have moved out of the city because of quality of life issues - life within city limits (we're in the top five poorest cities on the regular) isn't going to improve if we give more money to the Haslams.- Ohio to Erie Trail (Cincinnati to Cleveland)
I definitely got mixed up a few times while doing it - some areas are definitely great while others are...lacking. Honestly if it wasn't for your tips of getting into Cincy I would've been really mixed up and riding on major roads. Also bummer about the asphalt - they did that here in Cle on one of the new phases of trail but eventually it smoothed out, hopefully someone takes a steamroller to it or something (really should be on the contractors' dime) but that's probably wishful thinking...- Ohio to Erie Trail (Cincinnati to Cleveland)
congrats @Balkmusic! Really solid riding.- Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
The county is on the hook for a new Justice Center and Courthouse (among other projects) and the city can't even provide basic services across the board. Not sure where the Haslam's get the idea that either has money, the state will have to come up big and you know that won't happen. You personally complain about the quality of life in Cleveland alllllll the time in the Crime and Safety thread - is bonding hundreds of millions of dollars for a billionaire going to get us more cops? More firefighters/EMS? Better services? No. (And Ken does a great job of elaborating on this). Study after study has shown that NFL stadiums, after massive subsidies, have very little overall economic impact: https://globalsportmatters.com/business/2022/06/15/so-your-city-wants-sports-stadium/#:~:text=Though the research methods%2C time, economic impacts on local communities. https://www.stlouisfed.org/publications/regional-economist/april-2001/should-cities-pay-for-sports-facilities https://www.brookings.edu/articles/sports-jobs-taxes-are-new-stadiums-worth-the-cost/ https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2022/03/31/nfl-stadiums-taxpayer-funded-buffalo-bills/7217852001/ https://www.planetizen.com/news/2022/08/118245-sports-stadiums-bring-few-economic-benefits https://sites.lsa.umich.edu/mje/2022/01/15/cities-should-not-pay-for-new-stadiums/ https://econreview.berkeley.edu/the-economics-of-sports-stadiums-does-public-financing-of-sports-stadiums-create-local-economic-growth-or-just-help-billionaires-improve-their-profit-margin/ https://www.smartcitiesdive.com/news/taxpayer-funded-football-stadiums-rarely-pay-off-so-why-do-cities-keep-foo/635721/- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters

I wonder if the setback requirements years back w/Landmarks put enough of a pause on this to create these current funding issues. If they didn't have to redesign would they be building now? I doubt it, but just a musing. Not getting TMUD was probably more detrimental than anything.- Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
