Haven't dug into library archives in a while but here's some from online: 1877 (if I'm not mistaken, Great Lakes has this downstairs by their bathrooms) 1887 1904

ha, before I had a smartphone/bike computer I'd plug everything into MapMyRide from memory. Definitely helped me learn some of the roads post-group ride.

So I haven't been terribly motivated this year to wander, but at 72.5% of Cleveland. Here's what I have for the year - and a lot of what I'm doing now is cleanup from the former random riding I'd do - so it might be a small segment in the middle of a 'completed' neighborhood. Also paying for it kind of is neat because you see all the stuff you've done but unfortunately definitely missing some pre-Strava big trips and cool rides... Year to Date: I've got to button up the far reaches of the city - nothing like riding 15 miles to get the ride 'started' lol Overall rides (unfortunately missing the loop around Lake Erie!)
  4. Also side note, Goldhorn isn't open on Tuesday's. Not sure how strict Southern Tier is about their fancy(ish) room downstairs, but that seems like it'd be a perfect fit if we did go w/Tuesday. If breweries are the theme, Butcher and Brewer wouldn't be a terrible bet either.
  5. I'll say Goldhorn has a ton of space to spread out. If it's on a Thurs and at Goldhorn (sorry ken) there's a band in one of the rooms. In spite of my perceived bias way I'm open to whatever! Thanks Brian.

The same people bringing Tucker Carlson to Cleveland for a fundraising event.
  7. Digging the foliage. Small detail in the scheme of things but on a grey winter day that'll be nice (if it stays in the plans)!
  8. Yeah our recorder is also showing it as active. Without searching all city ordinances for "Spruce" I can't say for sure, but yeah, this dude is full of it. Spruce at the loading dock is vacated, if you're looking at the viewer it's 003-16-040 now.
  9. Burj Frank Jackson confirmed (again).
  10. I know it's not an answer, but just fwiw, the legislation won't take effect for six months.
  11. Real bummer about the GE Plant, there are some really cool spaces:
  12. I'm curious how much leeway he has to push back on the language. Is there some crazy instance where he has the ability to spike it because he doesn't agree with it?
  13. Lots going on this day - fundo, garlic fest, and now this?!
  14. We deserve so much better. Still can't believe she makes more than Chicago's chief.
  15. ...checks the value of the few shares of CLF I own... lol
  16. FWIW, it's been recently repaved but when it is in bad shape it's in baaad shape. My first bike into Cleveland (when I didn't live here) was on a bike tour and god was that road miserable. Kind of dumb, but also bikes/peds have much less wear on the road so a dedicated bike path might not be a bad thing. Also, if a car flies off the shoreway I don't think that fence is going to do much. Yes dumb, buuuuuuuuuuut if it gets more casual people out there riding I'll bite my tongue.
  17. Was talking about this last night, our parking taxes are limited by the state at 8%. Pittsburgh is 37%. Parking shouldn't be cheap and driving in downtown shouldn't be easy. If you walk down Euclid at lunch some cars are ripping down the street (E9 towards PS) at 30+MPH and that's BS. Same goes for other large streets like Huron/Prospect, etc. I shouldn't have to be afraid of cars while biking/walking in a city center. Their excuse is it helps with traffic flow, when in reality they're propping up parking garage/lot owners. Maybe it makes sense on the major streets, but side/arterials (2 laners) don't get used any differently when parking is removed. The thing that bothers me is someone physically putting up and taking these signs down.
  18. Good eye! Lol must've just missed me taking a pic in the RTA stop.
  19. Pretty cool seeing the cutouts from down Euclid Teeeeeechnically they have a lunch cafe on the other side in the sunken courtyard, it's a nice (kind of peaceful (or desolate)) spot to eat/have a coffee. I know you're talking more of a resto/cafe/Fahrenheit situation out in the open and I'm with ya. Maybe w/the conversion of The Centennial we'll see something develop here.
  20. Been lending a bit of a hand with the Bike Your Neighborhood rides in Buckeye/Mt. Pleasant neck of the woods. Pretty chill pace and sometimes the leaders will stop to explain the significance of certain areas (and you get a cool Tshirt!). This most recent one the Mayor came along. The next one is Sept 9 at 11:30A. The Mayor's childhood home:
