  2. ^ this. Our legislature is doing its best to compete with Florida and Texas to outdo themselves. If only this state wasn't gerrymandered to hell and the GOP had to pay attention to its constituents vs pushing things through with their illegal supermajority. Why the heck would you move here these days when Michigan and PA and so many other states are moving in a completely opposite direction politics-wise.
  3. I'm pro-landbridge but from my many bike adventures down to this lot/future development area, the water is pretty stagnant and gross down there - there's very little churn vs the water around Voinovich Park. The Mather/port/and many other factors keep the water pretty still down here. I know it's something that can probably be fixed and it shouldn't be the reason to hold up the project but something to think about. I'm sure the same could've been said for the Cuyahoga (even today) so please, feel free to ignore this hah.
  4. ....duh lol those are great photos looks like an awesome time.
  5. Hey there are sharrows! Therefore it's totally safe and immune from drivers acting like it's a freeway...
  6. @eastvillagedon well shoot, I could google but what event was that?? looks amazing.
  7. You've got to look close but it's starting to poke through the midrises
  8. A couple from last night
  9. I forget who I was talking to (maybe a forumer) but it's going to be a restaurant I think? They have a Zoning Change notice out front on Columbus and have for a couple weeks now. I'm planning on going to forest city after work today I'll see if they have any more details.
  10. If anyone needs an excuse to spend $50, there's a beer event at Ben Franklin Community Garden in Old Brooklyn next week. I'm assuming the fields will have at least their first plow so you'll be able to see how expansive the space is. Pretty cool on Schnitz Ale through, we've picked up their brew waste and put it into our compost piles for at least a year now so they're paying it back in a big way! https://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/2023/05/schnitz-ale-brewery-to-hold-1st-beer-fest-for-community-garden.html
  11. I've talked w/bartenders about this and a big part of why they haven't expanded has a lot to do with quality control. They wouldn't want to transport beers and would have to brew at the other location. Who knows if that stays the case but that's why they're doing what they're doing. Definitely best brewery in town but man I miss the days when it was sleepy and you could just chill and chat it up with the bartenders. Good for them though!
  12. lol jk, I spend wayyyy too much time on here hahah
  13. I need to walk down on lunchbreak today to see if anyone said anything/see if its still there. It was awesome walking around this as a truck was backing up to leave. I hope the city came down on them but I have my doubts.

Awesome, and I know what you're talking about w/COVID it sucks. I had it in February-ish right as I was trying to ramp up to form and I finally feel like I'm out of the woods. I definitely get winded over dumb stuff but it probably doesn't help that I'm far from being in prime shape at the moment either...I'm JA on there, I started a thread for folks to drop their UO name too if you feel inclined.
  15. Interior demo is full on underway at UCC building. Two full roll on dumpsters full as I walked by at lunch. You can kind of peek into the windows but not much is visible to be honest.

It's addictive lol I didn't know this until recently but you can download the wandrer maps to your GPS and use that to help knock streets off. Up until that realization I'd just go to a neighborhood and confuse neighbors with all sorts of crisscrossing. Any good milestones? I'm currently at about 65% of Cleveland.

  18. FWIW bus service from downtown to target/steelyard is pretty atrocious, I doubt that a downtown target would take away from the shoppers in SY, two different audiences.
  19. Looks really nice lit up at night too. I thought I posted in the wrong place bc there was nothing on it anywhere haha
  20. Not super extensive, but they're doing something with the big screen in US Bank Plaza. And Connor Palace

  23. I stopped into Jolly Scholar last night and was reading a copy of CWRU Newspaper that had an article on this. Long story short, the math department isn't terribly happy about how the administration has communicated what will happen to their department after the demo. Just another perspective. https://observer.case.edu/open-letter-circulates-in-math-department-detailing-yost-demolition-discontent/
