  1. I believe their "outdoor" slot machines are on the other side of these planters. Pretty sure they double as concrete barriers to that section.
  2. Is there such thing as too many crane photos? No? Here's another.
  3. If anyone can find their application for demolition it really showed how much Stark and previous owners have let the buildings languish. I recall photos showing the floor completely collapsed and everything inside the Herold being portrayed as demo was the only choice.
  4. I wonder if @muskymight have some insight into this?
  5. I've had my eye out for lanes that have no parking and no driveways. There's a handful of opportunities around me in OB, and some of the newer pave jobs are similar. It's definitely possible if you're strategic about it. Needless to say I've given this a lot of thought lately hah.
  6. I get what you're saying but at the same time I don't think the flats would be a good home for a locked down R&D facility. There were definitely plenty of options in the city, and at least it's in the county, but I totally get your overall point.
  7. Sorry about the weird angles (was biking into work and didn't get a light), but the parking lot is gone and they're moving dirt now..
  8. done!
  9. Great news! I went to the kickoff event...like 6-7 years ago now (wow), still have my La Villa Hispana magnet on my fridge from that evening haha.
  10. Absolutely LOVE the second one. Great freakin pic
  11. Stealing @mack34s thunder on this one but can't believe nobody's posted this yet!
  12. Coming soon: UO Underground Call Marie for details.
  13. Good to know, thanks for the info. I don't know what to google, but I'm sure ODOT (and to keep it on topic, cities like Cle) spend a TON of money on ROW mowing.
  14. I really hope that ODOT does more of the above. I know that PennDOT does a lot of work with these folks: https://www.ernstseed.com/products/seed-mixes/, and I'm sure there's an Ohio supplier that does the same types of mixes. I highly recommend ordering Ernst's seed catalog to just look through all the possibilities.
  15. Last time I was biking around over there there were a ton of trees just sitting in one of their staging lots (by RTA/new police station area)...it looked like they had been sitting there a LONG time.
  16. Letter to the Editor about the sad state of the highway: https://www.cleveland.com/letters/2022/07/opportunity-corridor-is-turning-into-an-abominable-corridor-of-trash-and-dying-trees.html This nails it: True to form, this $257 million, three-mile “boulevard” project funded by the public is on schedule to fulfill the “build it and abandon it” fate of so many “beautifying” projects that have no plan and no funding for upkeep. The public deserves better.

Just read over the report mentioned in this article, so far I've received more communication and transparency from Councilwoman Maurer in a few months than I have from Tony B. in six years. Meanwhile Councilman Griffin wants business to continue as is - according to him things are fine, I mean it's getting him reelected so I guess it is. https://www.cleveland.com/news/2022/07/cleveland-city-council-spends-too-much-of-its-time-helping-residents-navigate-city-hall-one-new-member-wants-to-change-that.html
  18. They've already converted the auntie annes (or whatever) to a bar during events, also there's couches and everything (that came in for the ASG) in the food court/riverview area.

Basheer and his bud Darvio sure have been quiet since the subpoenas dropped. I wonder what Lee W. has to say about his newest supporter.
  20. Kind of OHC related, but specifically to this article - I put together a web application that shows where all the former Cleveland breweries were (I know I've posted this in the past), but since Ken mentioned the former Gehring Brewery I figured I'd post this link again: https://veganbrisket.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=19628b56e7f8479c9261b7700272616c. Enjoy! (and feel free to move as needed)

Wow, amazing progress! Wandrer really is cool, I've fallen off lately but it's incentive to get out there and get creative with rides. Hard to take the same route twice when you're trying to tick off mileage.
  22. By the time shw is occupied we *might* have the midway under construction here lol, might.
