  1. I think it looks kind of nice in person. Stopped at lunch today and ppl were sitting in the fake grass area, people were in more spaces than they ever were when there were fountains. Also they rebranded the food court as the eatery. They're also advertising music on Thursdays at lunch. Idk what lit the fire under Bedrock but they sure have done a lot since around the asg.
  2. Can you tell us the nearest parking garages so that we can begin reserving space for future UO lounges?

  4. If anyone wants to give this angle a crack:
  5. Was about to post my own pic of this. Maybe having three gas stations on one corner wasn't the greatest idea. Still hope it gets built out, the renderings were real attractive (for a gas station at least haha).
  6. Terdolph Park Association, LLC.

Just saw this thread lol but who will think of my bike commute!!! But yeah, my garden will appreciate the rain to say the least.
  8. Opportunity Corridor has entered the chat.
  9. Judging by the timeline in this we're never getting the midway lol: https://cleveland-transportation-initiatives-clevelandgis.hub.arcgis.com/pages/superior-midway 10 YEARS/$20M to go 2.4 miles!!!! Wild.
  10. FWIW, I saw a city crew striping xwalks today at lunch (on Huron)
  11. Decided to get some elevation on today's ride lol (I thought I got all the crane in the pic, just missed it..I blame the sun)
  12. I don't have my glasses on but looks like @mack34running the door today
  13. Fantastic photo!
  14. Having lived through the Bass Pro saga with Buffalo and their now torn down Memorial Auditorium, I think we're like 10000% better than a BP or Cabela's, the amount of parking required, vehicular traffic created (trucks, rv's, trailers, etc.), and tax breaks that they'd ask for don't fit where the city is going. When I think of those being in a downtown area, I think it speaks desperation, but that's me/my experience with Buffalo trying for YEARS to attract them.
  15. I'll say that this year they've really seemed to begin to embrace TC - from the concerts, additional storefronts, popup food (as of last week), and renovations of stores, they're doing something. I can't help but think that the water gush event set their plans back by at least a year. It seems like TC is a bit of an incubator for Bedrock's ideas - see what they can do and decide on more permanent things later.
  16. Bills fan here, I concur, but as a tailgater I'll take it. The major reason they chose that site was because of existing infrastructure and the amount of time it would've taken to build/property acquisition within the city. The top deck of the stadium is failing so time wasn't really on the Bills' side, but I guess all good things can't last forever. It was built around the same time Arrowhead was and although they put a ton of money into that, Ralph Wilson/Rich/Highmark/New Era Stadium wasn't worth saving/rehabbing. When my brother came up for the Bills Browns game a few years ago it was pretty awesome being able to take the bus home after partaking in the muni lot shenanigans, I mentioned it upthread but it'd be pretty awesome and maybe a boost to RTA to have the stadium on a more convenient rail line.
  17. Be on the lookout for another tool to come out that'll show tax breakdowns, give tif/abatement info, and info on appraisal in the near future.
  18. I'm with you on the infrastructure and whatnot and hope that the city and county fight for as much public access as possible. I meant more so for money going into say, Tower City or any substantial pieces of development. I also see where @OldEnoughis coming from, but giving a ton of money to one of the wealthiest people in the country (Haslams you too) when our city and county are consistently cash strapped and (at least the city, poverty stricken) is rough. When the reappraisal comes around (assuming current values hold) in 2024 home value/taxes will be going up a lot more than 2018. This may be another conversation, but there's only so much money you can wring out of a taxpayer and give to billionaires. Edit: and I know this is a development forum, and also know these folks get tax breaks and TIFs all the time, but it seems like mindset w/the public could be changing judging from the kneejerk reaction towards the Haslam's/new stadium, CCF/UH tax exempt status, etc. TLDR; Public infrastructure spending is great and needed, but giving substantial money/tax breaks to Gilbert and his crew doesn't sit right.
  19. I really hope Dan Gilbert/Bedrock doesn't ask for public funding.
  20. Sorry it got washed out a bit, but figure this could be an interesting angle (Whistle and Keg patio). I'll wander around today and snag some other shots from angles we haven't seen in here...
  21. It'd be a looooot cooler if it were native grasses and flowers and all that, also it'd look better in the current heatwave we're in..
