  1. Very cool, I was biking around down around the old Harshaw Site last weekend and BASF has it buttoned up real good (spooked a coyote into the site though!). Shocking in this is how wide the sidewalk was and how much pedestrian access they built in (check out that stairwell!). Also the guardrail design lol. Really neat pic. Also to answer your question from before about the Central Furnace Bridge, but it appears? it still exists off of Independence Road (but I could be looking at a totally different area). Seems right though.
  2. I can't find the exact shot I'm thinking of, but this really reminds me of some shots I've seen of Buffalo Central Terminal after they moved their passenger traffic out. FWIW this one kind of looks like a CVNP train 👀
  3. We need a special UO wave or something for when we pass each other nerding out and taking pics of stuff lol I have a feeling that between this and SHW, folks on here will be bumping into each other a lot.

  5. Maybe this ties in with things, saw a new HL bus training today (sorry my phone was slow going when I tried to snap a pic!)
  6. Cleveland Foundation (as seen from the Healthline)
  7. FYI you can get free digital access through the library. https://home.crainscleveland.com/portal/cuyahogalibrary
  8. I do wonder how turnout will work out, I'm sure R's will be out in full force in the county for this upcoming cycle and I'm sure that'll bode well for anyone with an R next to their name (Exec or otherwise).
  9. News? Eh, this might be stretching it but got on the holiday train the other day. Pretty cool they do this!

  11. It's good to look at school districts when it comes to this. Newburgh goes to Cleveland already. I don't think Cuy Hts and these others would want to hop into Cle SD.
  12. Ah bummer, I've got a meeting around Happy Hour. Enjoy! If anyone's wandering around during the day maybe I'll run into someone haha
  13. Still not a great look, that's all I'm saying. Unfortunate luck to have the event during COVID but I hope some popup stuff is developed so it doesn't look so dead on 9th and Prospect.
  14. I noticed that AJ Rocco's in the old Huron Point Tavern space is adding signage today. Hopefully that corner will be alive again by the NBA ASG. Really worried about the impression of the empty spaces of Panini's and Winking Lizard though.
  15. My coworker just started parking in there a month or two ago lol I'll let you know what he has to say.
  16. Lots of heavy hitters on this list, I'm so here for it. Back on the first call I was on with him he said he'd bring in the best and brightest and this is him keeping to his word!
  17. Burj Cleveland (Cliffs) confirmed
  18. On my phone so it won't be terribly nuanced but I've got a bunch of buds in pgh and lived down there for a year, I always joke that cle is 5-10 yrs behind pgh and @cadmenjust echoed that sentiment. When pgh first started infill it was a ton of boxy and uninspiring stuff and eventually design came into play. There's still plenty of boxy stuff going up down there but also a lot more flair than just standard builds. For the rents this place will be fetching you sure would hope they give it more thought.
  19. This belongs at Crocker, not right off of downtown. Yuck.

  21. Lunch downtown is pretty bland right now. I want more quick grab n go options ($10-15) - the Arcades food courts are lacking (5th St. Arcade is uninspiring, also The Arcade still doesn't have seating inside), Tower City is weak for options, and Galleria might as well be siberia to most of the lunch crowds. I cover a decent amount of downtown on my hour lunch break and it'd be nice to have another space to go into and sit and eat or read or whatever. I don't see how a food hall is a bad thing, maybe it'll spark some innovation in the other spaces. Also tourists would probably be more willing to go there (a destination food spot) vs other more traditional spaces.
