Cleveland Metro: New FBI HQ
I think I'm going to wander to Noble Beast after work today, I'll start walking up and asking folks pulling out of their current HQ. What could go wrong?

Brecksville: Valor Acres Development
With the pushback from Brecksville folk (and SHW's nature), I wonder what the chances are of something like this- 1-5%? I know R&D is going to be compound-ish, but I can't imagine employees being happy about working in a place with very limited amenities (vs what was first envisioned), especially coming from Breen where you can walk out the door and have all the city options at your disposal.

Cleveland: Downtown: New Police Headquarters
Without going too far back in the forum, I believe (and please knock this theory down) that tenants weren't willing to move out in the timeframe the city needed? I thought it was larger than Frank Jackson just being Frank Jackson.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway: Battery Park
Wanted to see if there's been a dedication and I'm not seeing it yet (we'll see it soon enough). The Lot Split/Consolidation came through in 2019 and this sliver has been in since that time. Here's a screenshot of the plat from 2019 (AFN 201908090596 for the curious).

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
Looks like it belongs in a crappy Florida neighborhood. Paint will be peeling in a couple years, can't wait.

Awesome to know groundbreaking is in June 2021! lol I kid, thanks for the insights as always.

Cars & Vehicles Discussion (History, etc)
I drive a honda fit and it's wild how many SUVs lights are over the rear window of my car. These are usually driven by people that couldn't handle a tiny car let alone a behemoth of a SUV/truck. It's definitely pie in the sky, but there should be some test to demonstrate basic handling and skills before buying some of this crap, never going to happen but one can dream. I bike quite a bit around town it's it's not if but when I'll get hit/killed by one of these vehicles. PS- massive vehicles and folks that never turn off their brights? Kill me.

Brecksville: Valor Acres Development
My mistake, I was thinking this was going on the Miller Rd. side so a bit of an overreaction on my part. But at the same time what the heck do these people expect from an R&D and Crocker-esque development in their backyards? Even if it isn't 5 stories, it's not going to be the VA part two, this is a major development. But you have a point about them moving things around (still wouldn't mind if they gave up and came back to Cleveland though lol). When thinking about this stretch, I'm moreso thinking about the commercial/industrial across the street/near the site, wasn't really thinking about those properties on Westview. In conclusion: the VA site should be turned into an extension of Brecksville Reservation and everything should move to Cleveland. Problem solved. lol

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
Hopefully they're able to shift sidewalk into the street (a la JHB project), which would that even be possible with where the tower crane is supposed to go?

Brecksville: Valor Acres Development
Lol because this part of Brecksville Rd. is so gorgeous. Gimme a break. These are the same ppl that live in cookie cutter subdivisions and see no problem with Ryan Homes coming in and building crap homes. I'd love to see these residents threaten to leave and go to...Solon lol

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower at Erieview & Galleria Renovation
I'll just chime in and say I absolutely LOVE this tower. It's such a great example of Internationalist Style/Modernist architecture and is clean/nice to look at from a distance and close up. I think we have some good examples of different styles around town (hence why I'm on team keep rhodes tower as is - wonderful brutalist design). Some buildings are butt ugly and deserve recladding or redesign, but this ain't it IMO. The galleria on the other hand? Idk what you do with it, but hopefully something can be done with that cavernous space (they've also removed the T flag on the glass last time I was actually paying attention to the place).

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
I know Rhodes has some problems, but I'll say it's a good example of brutalist architecture and would want to keep it around. It just sticks out like a sore thumb because nothing's around it. Give it some density and maybe it wouldn't look so off to outsiders. #BrutalistGang lol

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
Sorry if it was covered a while back (I tried searching but no dice), but my coworker lives in the Standard Building and says there's a restaurant going in on the ground floor (finally), any idea what it may be?

Cleveland: Opportunity Corridor Boulevard
I'll just chime in and say if you want to see a slider/timeframe check out our full viewer at https://gis.cuyahogacounty.us/html5viewer/?viewer=cegis, click basemaps to turn on the aerials and then you can use the time slider to see the imagery. FWIW this (and most imagery) was captured November-December of 2020. If you really want to dig in, click the 'Eagleview' button up top and get 45* obliques in every direction.

Canal Basin Park and Lake Link Trail
Just got back from a ride down there, they're hydroseeding along the road (Whiskey Island Dr.) and they were prepping (it seemed) to get the next section of bridge up on the Willow Bridge Side. To an untrained eye, it seemed like it might be too windy to lift today, but what do I know hahaha

Cleveland: Filling in Euclid Avenue
Really hope they have a performance area where you can have intimate sessions live on air. I'll admit I don't listen to many of the iHeart stations in town but seems like something that would be really cool. I know of a lot of alternative stations that have this type of setup (KEXP (Seattle), CFNY-FM (edge.ca, Toronto), WYEP (Pittsburgh), etc etc). If anything I've seen the mobs to just get coffee at MGK's spot in the flats, imagine if any RMFH-playing celeb was in a Euclid facing studio for an interview/performance. 668 was such a waste of prime sidewalk space, glad to see it activated.

Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail
Really getting fed up with the railroad crossing on Jennings. I really hope CSX/NS get to it this summer, otherwise it's going to be another dangerous season for that tiny piece. I know railroads are powerful animals and it'd be a tit for tat with them, but I hope someone on the trail side can flex some muscle and get them to wrap it up.

2021 NFL Draft
Rode my bike down there a bit earlier, they'll have some powerwashing to do! lol that said, sunset was killer tonight, as long as the weather cooperates it's going to be an amazing sell for the city.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
Bummer, I think my crains subscription lapsed, do they have any insight on how much the conversion was estimated to cost? That would make an absolutely awesome hotel looking over the Jake, Q, and just over downtown in general. Also the steel plants! Ugh, I hope someone converts it.
