Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Sorry to link to my twitter, but low on space in here (need to wipe out some high res photos from a while back). Either way, FEB is really coming together.

Orange Village: Pinecrest
I was out of town this weekend and getting caught up to everything...thanks.

Orange Village: Pinecrest
Coming in late here (reading the latest Pinecrest news and getting caught up) but what a strange trajectory for Big Fun. Not sure if it was a problem with their landlord on Coventry but they should've never left that spot. Pinecrest doesn't strike me as the best spot for a cooky toy shop. Perhaps worth continuing in the retail thread, maybe not lol. Speaking of the property transfer, I haven't checked Crains yet, but does MJ/SB have any article out about it yet? I'd respect their opinions a lot more than a clickbaity Cle dot com article...

Brecksville: Sherwin-Williams Research & Development Center
Totally. And I know speculation and discussion has gone all over the place with how a downtown R&D facility could've worked, but I'll say when I was biking Ohio-Erie trail, I went past a PPG facility and it's like a friggin compound - fences, posted signs, all that. I don't know that it's necessary but still, I'd rather a bombproof/espionage proof facility be out there. It sucks it's not in the city proper but at least tax dollars stay in the county. I know folks think them in Brecksville is an entire failure, but I'll chalk it up as a small victory that tax is staying in CuyCo vs sprawling to Summit/Medina like so many other corps have done.

Cleveland: West Side Market News & Info
Wow. I mentioned it back in here, but I went on a tour of the market probably a year and some ago and it was painfully apparent that the current market manager doesn't belong in the position and is only adding to the crap reputation the city has. This further cements it. Jackson admin is a joke with stuff like this.

Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
Looking forward to the color that the City Club apts will bring to Euclid. There's some color now, but this rendering really brings home how conservative that stretch of road is. We don't need something crazy but just break it up a bit. I wonder how that rust colored Beacon would've looked- not complaining about what it looks like now, but 🤷♂️ lol

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
So part of me wants them to make their money but another part of me wants a Phase I ESA to find an old gas station, laundromat, car wash, and some buried goods underneath the building so that we'll never lose this gem. All that said, I'm sure they'll get the number (I honestly would've listed higher).

Urban Ohio Strava Group
@jmecklenborg I just got back from a trip out west and being at elevation and also getting back this time of year has resulted in some of my best times for the year. What you're saying totally makes sense, I was like wtf happened? Makes a ton of sense lol

How has everyone's cycling season been? I know I've added a few of you (and vice versa)- seems like folks have been pretty active!

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
lol as a local gov person, it's partially on us too. People don't know what they don't know! But seriously, it's a great resource (especially when looking back on spots). Glad you find it useful!!

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Yikes, the county provides much higher res aerials for no charge. Maybe they got this from google? But oof. For the curious: https://gis.cuyahogacounty.us/html5viewer/?viewer=cegis And if you want oblique imagery click the 'Eagleview' tab. Back on subject- that area could use some love, especially the part that goes below the rock hall. That's a really neat vantage point and really, you don't realize it's there unless you randomly find yourself walking that way. Speaking of, I'm assuming with covid it's on hold, but an expansion of the hall towards the science ctr. would change this space too...

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Sorry, not development related but I was out of town for the past two weeks and some (and off the forum) and fully expected SHW to be on the front page. Says something about the city that there's so much going on that SHW is essentially buried... Sidenote, the trip gave me the opportunity to see similarly sized downtown cores (SLC, KC, STL, Indy) and larger spots from the car (and occasionally bike), and I've got to say our skyline is definitely unique for the midwest (or wherever we are) and is more impressive than we give it credit for...

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Maybe that's a benefit of having R&D out in Brecksville. They can build their top secret fortress out there. Let the public walk through (hopefully) courtyards and internal restaurants and whatnot.

Canal Basin Park and Lake Link Trail
Just a tip, if you want a higher res photo with contours (and usually updated more than google) check out the county viewer and use the 'eagleview' widget (https://gis.cuyahogacounty.us/html5viewer/?viewer=cegis). I'm bumping up against my files on here or I'd post a screenshot but I get your point. There definitely are some parts that are questionable, even if you're not racing through here. Most notably coming up into the mounds, there's always water across the trail in that area.

Cleveland: Brooklyn Centre / Old Brooklyn: Development and News
FWIW this area of Memphis is pretty ugly and beyond redeeming. I only half read the email and DG must've shifted to this neck of the woods after intense pushback for their desired location (junkyard between State/Pearl). Either way, despite if it looks nice or not, I really don't think the hood needs another dollar store.

Ugh, doesn't look like Dollar General wants to go quietly. This is an email I got just now from head of our CDC regarding it:

Cleveland: Innerbelt News
Ugh, such a waste. Can't find a dime for RTA but we can keep expanding highways and adding to the burden of maintenance.

Canal Basin Park and Lake Link Trail
Ooo, I didn't even realize that's where that rendering was until you said that. That area is always such a crapshoot ? ..I'll see myself out, it's too early for this And btw, nice pics @NorthShore647!

Speaking of CIFF, they had a great post the other day. Going to be awesome at PHQ but man, going to miss pics/events like this!- Cleveland: Ohio City: INTRO (Market Square / Harbor Bay Development)
Not working from the office/cycling past this daily will have me out of the loop! Looking forward to all the photos of this going up. Walking over/watching the Lumen go up was one of my first major ground up experiences and man that was awesome to just walk over there and see the progress. This one is going to be extra cool with the wood...I may just have to spend more time in the office just to see this haha PS- the beacon was super cool to witness too, but just not the same! Talk about a good time to have moved to Cleveland lol lots going on these days. - Cleveland: MetroHealth Medical Center
