Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
You will have to ask them. That's what was implied at all the meeting I went to when they still met. I imagine they will reconvene soon... and they will likely pick TC. At least, that's where they were heading.

Cleveland: The Patriot Bowl
It was in an email newsletter I received yesterday from the Cleveland Visitors Bureau. And it had Cleveland+ all over it. But you're right. I would have forgotten all about it if it weren't for the newsletter.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
It could still go there - it might just happen sooner. Public Auditorium (and the current center) could still be used for smaller conferences and it would be more valuable in the near future when the IX center goes off-line. The planning studies done by the previous administration are obsolete. The creation of the Convention Authority (or whatever its called) made that so.

Remember, if CC goes behind TC, then the Cuyahoga Valley Rail Line could be extended north to and/or near TC (as shown in its planning/massing study above).

pd editorial: The real work for a convention center/medical mart in Cuyahoga County now begins Tuesday, August 28, 2007 With the way clear for a sales tax in crease in Cuyahoga County to take ef fect Oct. 1, as approved by the commissioners, the real work on a convention center now begins. Civic and political supporters of the convention center, to be allied with a Medical Mart, have almost every detail yet to decide. The project was all but on hold the past month, pending the outcome of an effort to place on the ballot a referendum on the tax increase. The clock ran out on the referendum effort over the weekend before the required petition signatures could be collected... more at: http://www.cleveland.com- Ohio: Third Frontier News & Info
Hiring scholars fits Third Frontier goals - an editorial Husted's displeasure with Third Frontier machinations shouldn't extend to proposal for hiring scholars Wednesday, August 29, 2007 Fingerhut's recent venture is more in tune with the Third Frontier's goals. Ohio's new plan to invest $122 million in attracting top scholars testifies to the wisdom of having a strong leader for state higher education. But Speaker Jon Husted's critical response speaks just as powerfully to the pitfalls of being too creative with state programs. Using the political power conveyed by his new gubernatorial appointment, Chancellor Eric Fingerhut is pooling money from multiple sources to improve Ohio's intellectual capacity in key realms. pd: Schools CEO is the real deal Sunday, August 26, 2007 Dick Feagler Plain Dealer Columnist We're all going back to school with Dr. Gene Sand ers. Let's hope he can change public education in Cleveland. Nobody else has. School superintendents have come and gone. A lot of them presided only briefly, and weakly, over this school system. They made their money, eloped and left behind them platitudes and rhetoric. And a fat, cashed, goodbye check. More at cleveland.com http://www.cleveland.com- Cleveland: Mayor Frank Jackson

What, you want anatomically correct smiles? I like my smiles free-range with no hormones. British? Sure... only not so crooked... and shaved. I think the three shown are all good, but not really logo quality. They would make excellent posters, bumper stickers and t-shirts. - Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
