I don't remember. Did I ever tell you about the plan to turn Mather into a hotel and that it might begin before the year is done? If I did, um... never mind.

I do not know the answer to that. Gut tells me no. It is a good spot for staging during the other phases - but really, who knows.

Ingenuity 2007: Breuer Tower Design Competition
You can choose three. (Sorry Firefox users [me too]. Because of a known bug, not all of the pics will show, so will have to use m$ IE) Here are photos of each of the submissions from the Design Competition for the Breuer Tower held during Ingenuity. The photos can also be found on my Flickr site with a brief critique of each submission. Feel free to comment on individual proposals on the Flickr page for the specific photo. http://www.flickr.com/photos/muscatello/sets/72157600997698738/ Davis Brody Bond Aedas Westlake Reed Leskowsky KPF - 1 KPF - 2 Perkins+Will Richard Fleishmen Michael D. Wow! I don't even know where to begin with that. Sadly, that is probably the opinion of many residents outside of the county.

Don't tell anyone where your family lives or where you go to church, or grocery shop, or... wait, you should be telling everyone you live in Parma, Lindale, or something like that.- Urban Ohio "Picture Of The Day"
Nice. They remind me of the lights from the movie Dune. Not sure why I remember that little detail.- STICKY: What do you want to see???
Once again, I agree. Very good points that I did not consider. Thanks.- Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
I posted this earlier in the wrong thread - who knows what I was thinking about at the time. Anyway, the website Put it on the Ballot has a link to send comments http://putitontheballot.com/contact I would add that to whomever else you send things.- ODOT Policy Discussion

Yes, it is an event. You are correct. But it is more then an event. It is (will be) an economic engine for whichever area the festival's permanent home is (from what I hear, this years location is looking to become the permanent home). I guess I'm coming from the idea that the Event's section is the least looked over area of the forum. For example, the "urbanohio.com meet up" thread has 173 comments and 3467 views since May 8, 2004. That is second to the Ingenuity thread which is number one. This thread has only 118 replies but 3635 views, and this was since July 24, 2007. To compare/contrast, the "Cleveland (CSU): College Town" thread (disclaimer - I started that thread) has 120 replies and has been viewed 2520 since June 13, 2007. For a clearer illustration of this, click on the following link and look at the events created, the dates posted, and the number of replies/views. Disregard the Urban Ohio Meets. http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?board=15.0;sort=views;desc Furthermore, this would not precedent setting. there are other threads whose placement is questionable: City Discussion > Topic: 2007 Hessler Street Fair ... Not to Be? http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=12639.0 Restaurants, Entertainment, Travel & Relocation Assistance > Topic: Cleveland: CityProwl Tours http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=9524.0 Sports Talk > Topic: Cleveland: Dew Action Sports Tour (disclaimer - I started that one) http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=11743.0 City Discussion > Topic: Events that Draw a Street Crowd in Your City ( I know - I'm pushing it on this one) http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=8133.0 Perhaps I feel this way because of my involvement with the festival. I want it to be as successful as possible. And to do that, it would be nice to have as much input as possible. Forumers can discuss the event itself, or discuss the places, traffic, reactions, suggestions, opinions, weather, speculate on the next year, etc. Those are my reasons. I will completely understand if the these are not sufficient.- Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District

Obviously we know this already, but here is todays story from the pd: Tax hike approved for medical mart Friday, July 27, 2007 Joan Mazzolini and Sarah Hollander Plain Dealer Reporters Starting in October, your trip to a Cuyahoga County shopping mall could help build a new convention center in Cleveland. In a move to end decades of discussion and studies, Cuyahoga County commissioners voted 2 to 1 Thursday to raise the sales tax one-quarter of a cent for 20 years. The city needs a new center to attract a Medical Mart, a collection of permanent showrooms for health-care products and technology. And a Medical Mart, supporters say, would help fill the center with related trade shows... more at: http://www.cleveland.com- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
