I was wondering about how they were going to keep the residents from being quiet myself. I was calling ODOT a couple times a week to find out information, but they would not tell me. So I figured the residents were the only way. Do you think they will make the residents that live within 1000 ft of the bridge leave their houses?- Cleveland: Innerbelt News

Sounds like a architecture student/fan boy to me- Cleveland: Urban Gardens & Farms
I recently met her for the first time. We were interviewing her for a grant proposal she had to finish said fence - actually finish paying for it. She received money from Neighborhood connections last year to install it ("local neighborhood organization"). It was a long interview as she continually went completely off on tangents. We didn't any police to escort her from our room.- Cleveland: TV / Film Industry News

Not to belabor the point, but you post separate threads for Delaware County and Fairfield County growth, and these are surely part of the Columbus metro, so why treat Cleveland's surrounding counties differently? How do you decide whether an article pertaining to Medina County goes in Cleveland or Akron-Canton? How about when you take the time and effort Grasscat does to find all of these articles, then all of you can damn well decide where they go Agreed! ************************* They have done a good job fixing that intersection. So what's going to happen with the doughnut shop?- GOOGLE: All Day, All Night, All Nice
An now I see there is something new again for Google Maps. It does not work for every city yet, but it does in Cleveland. You have to go to the second closest zoom and then you get a 3D wire frame of the buildings. Zoom 3+ just shows footprints.- GOOGLE: All Day, All Night, All Nice
Its one thing showing a map with current traffic conditions, where your taxi is at, and providing directions to grandmas house. (Google, Yahoo, M$) Its a completely different thing to analyze large data sets in conjunction with census figures and transit data in order to figure out the best places to install underground without seriously disrupting bus service. From NPR: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=9521092- Passenger/Commuter Rail in Interstate Medians?
I-90, west side of Cleveland, was design for rail. Everytime I drive through that area (everyday... sometime multiple times), I imagine rail and a passenger train whizzing past the traffic - jut like in Chicago. I t could still be done there, too. It could be done on most other freeways too. It does not have to be in the center. For example, a waterfront line extension could loop around downtown via the innerbelt curve and travel south on the western edge of the freeway. Of course, I am referring to post innerbelt reconstruction - not now>- Cleveland: Random Development and News
Welcome to the forum PAZ. Sometimes those events that happen in places like Elyria or Ashtabula have a large impact on what happens in Cleveland. On the other hand, you can just hit ignore on Grasscat. :-D ******** I'm Off to Philly for the APA Conference. It is wet, but 10 - 2- degrees warmer. Maybe I'll start a thread for items of interest for UO I can pass on to everyone. That is, if I get home at a decent hour every night semi-sober. Or, I might just drunk-post to stir up the masses - after all we still have a couple of weeks before DanInDC is back.- Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info

^ Urban Ohio Field of Dreams?- Cleveland housing tax abatement
Also good points. Don't forget - the Federal government is subsidizing most people's homes anyway through write-offs on their interest. We have to be able to give back to the community a little. I'm in favor of tiered abatement. I am pretty sure it was brought up on this thread before. Something along the lines: 100% for 5 years 75% for 10 years 50% for 15 years 25% for 20 years You catch might my drift- Cleveland: Marketing the City
