Happy Bunny Day...
Welcome back, MTS I forgot to mention one very important part of my family Easter experience. You know those claw machine games you see in mall and cheesy restaurants? This place had one of those (as well as a hunting, bowling, and golf video game). Except it was different. Picture this: Fairly common, right? Now picture the cube half filled with water. And instead of little fluffy giraffes, or aliens, or other stuffed animal delicacies, you have this: | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | \|/ Real Lobsters, $2.00 a pop True Story At least there were plenty of mini corn dogs for everyone on the 'boo-fay.'

Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
^^The construction started on time. Utility work had begun in 2004 and the "Transit Zone" (resurfacing of Superior and side streets - think of when the bus only lanes started) was under way later that year. Look for Cleveland State University in Google Maps, click on the aerial, some in to around Euclid and 24th Street (around Fenn Tower) you can see the utility work being done. Images used in Google Maps are two to five years old. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=cleveland+State+University&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&z=19&ll=41.502194,-81.672243&spn=0.001272,0.002503&t=k&om=1

I was thinking the same thing. I do think, however, that the hundreds of other regional, state and local agencies now providing some sort of free GIS for the user will still keep them in business. I can't see many entities bothering to learn GRASS. When I am in Philly this week I plan on talking to a friend of mine who is an executive at ESRI. I'll see what they think.- Cleveland: Innerbelt News

So I bet you are wondering what a bunch of Italian do on a day like Easter. Normally we would gather at a relatives house spending time together and have a huge dinner. In fact this is what we have done as long as I can remember (and if you read the "Age" thread, you know how long that is). This year was a little different for various reasons I will not bore you with. Almost 30 members of the Musky family went to an Irish restaurant (O'Finny's ?) in Parma for a buffet. By restaurant I mean something that is about 2 steps ahead of a BW3 or Hooters. My wife (who is constantly reminding me how out of touch this side of the family is, insist she is living in an episode of Roseanne. What did you do today?- Happy Bunny Day...

OK, I'll buy that argument from you - but what about the rest of you? I kid. We all know how long it takes to get things done in this city - especially with all of the little fiefdoms and their leaders who will do everything possible to keep power. But if there is somebody (i.e. Hopkins Commissioner), or a group of people (Private Developer/Mayor/PD) who are taking the initiative to accomplish something that will (IMO) better the city/county/region then they should go for it and we should encourage them. Unless everyone prefers their toast buttered with committee/commission process that adds to much time to any project. I don't know. I feel like this is incoherent rambling and I am not making my point clear... so I will stop.- Cleveland: Cuyahoga County Gov't properties disposition (non-Ameritrust)
