Before everyone gets all screwy (couldn't resist), the original renderings I did were just for the clay conceptual model. The two images are closer to what the tower will look like - but it still is not final. Remember - it is not final.- Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
I'm curious as to everyone's opinion of the streetlights. Anyone?- Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
He is - but he does not want negative press. Don't know, and yes. It's been advertised all over the country.- Here come Cleveland's "trolleys"
^A portion of the grant the Downtown Cleveland blah blah will be used to expedite this, if approved. http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=2055.msg148692#msg148692- Cleveland taxi cab stuff
Where are the designated zones downtown? I see cabs in front of the Ritz all the time, so I'm assuming that's one location. Where are there others? these are the places where I have gotten a cab and told it was a authorized cab "stand". tower city - Public Square all hotels west 6/between St. Clair & lakeside Prospect/E 4 Playhouse Square Hanna 14 Street - between prospect & euclid (i think) the 12 street entrance of the Galleria the Convocation center The Cleveland Convention Center/Public Hall/Music Hall There is always a sign posted on a light pole showing the designated cab stands.- Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
The department is horribly understaffed and new projects (not necessarily big ones) keep getting added. There has been an ad for a new architect for months and only one response. Two of the graduate assistants have left. Just got some news about the wind tower - the president does not want it to go were we proposed. He thinks outsiders will make fun of the school. He said something to the effect of "circumcision gone bad." Stay tuned, plus I am working on some new renderings with a more precise looking model instead of just working with a clay model.- Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments

The planning study is complete. Everyone loves it. At this point, it is there and waiting for a funding mechanism: state capital, private donation, etc. If this a go and we wait for state capital funding, there would likely be no action for about five years. We are kind of swamped right now as it is, so that is not necessarily a bad thing.- Cleveland: Flats East Bank
I'm all about saving buildings - but all of them are heaps of crap. IMO, the only worth saving is Kindlers.- Cleveland: Downtown: Technology Center
Found this in my nbox ths morning. Nice notice. Anyone available? Although I doubt he will say anything that wasn't in the article.- Show a pic of yourself!

^That is exactly what I was thinking. I liked going there. It wasn't original, but it was consistent and my kids liked the food - which is always a crap shoot when your taking kids out to eat somewhere besides all of the McFridays ************************************** I remember hearing the dirty book store on East 9th was closing (maybe it was somewhere here). Didn't know it was just changing owners. This is up for approval at tomorrow's Landmark Commission meeting. I have been hearing a lot of advertisement by them on the radio lately. Are they taking over all of the adult bookstores? *********************************** BTW, what's up with the full photo folder (that was hard to think, let alone say)?- Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
You are correct.- Cleveland: HealthLine / Euclid Corridor
The new street lights are up, but not on, in front of the communication college at CSU. I took some pictures of them last week, but the disk in the camera (yes, i aid disk - it was a work camera) was bad and I could not retrieve any of the pictures. The it got cold and snowed, so I gave up. Anyway, they look Ok - not great, just Ok.- Cleveland taxi cab stuff
Toda's PD: Let's see: Tip the starter and they might look favorably on you - True Cabbies walking around the terminal scoping out possible fares - Probably true Starters pulling cabs of the line to pick u passengers before it is their turn - Probably not. It would happen, but only if the cabs in the beginning of the line did not accept credit cards. The starter would then go down the line asking each driver until he found one that did. There is know way it would happen because the starter preferred one driver or cab company over the other - there would be a riot. - Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
