I think that is cardboard taped over the actual seal. The tape is the slices you are seeing. Confirmed. Did a close up inspection early yesterday evening. the "pie slices" are actually bands holding the cover in place

I have a question I am sure one of you knows the answer to: Once a team has been eliminated in the Group Match round, do they still finish playing the Group Match schedule before flying home to the their respective Motherland. England was just eliminated from the World Cup moments ago when Costa Rica beat Italy 1-0, but they have another game schedule on June 24. Is that game still on? Or better yet: Spain was eliminated when they lost to Chile on Wednesday. Do they still play Australia on Monday? I cannot for the life of remember what happened 4 years ago Thanks!- Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
PlayhouseSquare launches public phase of largest fundraising campaign in its history PlayhouseSquare on Friday, June 20, launched the public phase of the largest fundraising campaign in its history — a $100 million effort that so far has brought in $35 million, which includes a $9 million gift from the family of Sherwin-Williams CEO Chris Connor. In honor of the Connor family’s gift — the largest in the theater complex’s history — the Palace Theatre will be renamed the Connor Palace. “We feel a great responsibility to ensure that PlayhouseSquare remains strong, secure and enjoyable for future generations,” said Art J. Falco, president and CEO of PlayhouseSquare, in a news release. “The core need is to provide for the preservation of the beautiful gems that are our historic theaters. We also have objectives to support the arts education and production initiatives that are part of our not-for-profit mission.” In honor of the Connor family’s gift — the largest in the theater complex’s history — the Palace Theatre will be renamed the Connor Palace. New signage is expected to be in place by the end of September. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20140620/FREE/140629969/playhousesquare-launches-public-phase-of-largest-fundraising- Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates

Cleveland Cavaliers hire David Blatt as head coach CLEVELAND, Ohio -- David Blatt, who just resigned as coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv last week, has reached an agreement to become the 20th head coach of the Cavaliers, replacing Mike Brown who was fired on May 12, an NBA source told The Plain Dealer on Friday. This will be the first NBA job for the well-respected Blatt, an American who played for Pete Carril at Princeton and has played and coached in Europe the past 33 years. He also will become the first European head coach to be picked to run an NBA team. http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2014/06/cleveland_cavaliers_hire_david.html#incart_big-photo- Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News

Have to agree with the majority here. It is not the name, it is the image. Although, as person with native American ancestry, the image does not offend me personally I can see how and respect those who are offended by it. I'm down with the Spiders. Kind of concerned about the " below-grade electrical motors to wind and unwind steel ropes to raise and lower the spans" though. Just sounds like a future maintenance nightmare.- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
North Coast Harbor bridge plans are beautiful but cost rises to $8M, thanks to lengthy review of plans The latest plans for a new lakefront drawbridge at North Coast Harbor are cause for both delight and dismay. The delight is that the design, scheduled for discussion Thursday before the city's Downtown/Flats Design Review Committee and Friday before the City Planning Commission, is excellent, and very much worth building. Architect Miguel Rosales of Boston, who led the design in partnership with engineers from the Cleveland office of CDM Smith and the New York office of Schlaich Bergermann, has conceived a drawbridge consisting of a pair of elegantly slender, L-shaped jackknife spans. The bridge will link Voinovich Park at the north end of East Ninth Street to the finger pier just north of the Great Lakes Science Center. It will create an inviting pedestrian loop around the seven-acre harbor and its new marina, and could become a powerful, postcard-worthy attraction on the city's chronically underused lakefront. http://www.cleveland.com/architecture/index.ssf/2014/06/north_coast_harbor_bridge_plan.html#incart_m-rpt-1 I like it. I'll like it better if it actually happens- 2022 FIFA World Cup
