Who posted the renderings a while back showing the market concept for inside the rotunda? They are one of the many items lost in the Great UO Crash of 13. Does anyone have a link to another location? or can somebody repost?

Strange Rail Technologies
Elon Musk to outline 'Hyperloop' idea By Jonathan Amos Science correspondent, BBC News The SpaceX and Tesla founder has teased audiences with titbits of information about the rapid transit idea, which he claims could make the 380-mile (610km) journey in "about half an hour". It seems to involve sending passengers through a tube in capsules. Mr Musk says Hyperloop could be built for less than a conventional rail link. The current proposed 130mph (210km/h) high-speed train connection between LA and San Francisco is unnecessarily expensive and underwhelming in ambition, he has complained. "I originally started thinking about [Hyperloop] when I read about California's high-speed rail project which was somewhat disappointing," he told a Google Hangout with Richard Branson last week. "It's actually worse than taking the plane. I get a little sad when things are not getting better in the future. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-23666173

Cleveland: Random Development and News
^ Yes, it appears it is: http://goo.gl/maps/9gGzD According to the GSA: FUNDING: Funds Are Not Currently Available The project will be at a minimum LEED Gold. PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project is for the new construction of a building for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in accordance with their Repair by Replacement program. The project will require the demolition of an existing building, and in its place, creation of a new three-story Research Support Building of approximately 100,000 gross square feet (GSF). NASA is in the process of creating a new centralized downtown campus area at Lewis Field with the Research Support Building being at its new central hub. The Research Support building will house support offices such as a credit union, cafeteria, etc on the first floor and federal office space on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The proposed building will be located at NASA's Glenn Research Center (GRC) located on Lewis Field in Cleveland, Ohio. This new project will need to be responsive to NASA's overall campus and master plan and is adjacent to a National Register Historic District. SCOPE OF WORK The scope of professional services will require at a minimum: professional architectural, landscape architectural, engineering, interior design, and related consulting services for concept design documents, design development documents, construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, value engineering services, BIM, computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), LEED administration, and post-construction contract services (PCCS) for the new three-story Research Support Building. The project is also to include GSA design standards and NASA Procedural Requirements (NPR) for secure facilities; conformance to the P-100 (Facility Standards for Public Buildings), including at a minimum LEED Gold requirements; and customer agency requirements. http://1.usa.gov/132JqNS

I haven't really looked, but I wonder if there are any examples internationally of turbines in water where ice is a factor. I can see how that might be a pretty significant issue

Cleveland: Wind Turbine Construction News
Lake Erie wind-turbine project in high gear for next year CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The nonprofit company created to develop wind turbines in Lake Erie has acquired significant engineering muscle for a shot at making the decade-old proposal finally happen. Using a $4 million federal grant, the Lake Erie Energy Development Corp. has partnered with a team of about a dozen national and international expert companies and laboratories -- including several from northern Europe -- to get the job done. The private partners have committed an additional $1 million in cost share for this portion of the project. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2013/02/lake_erie_wind_turbine_project.html#incart_river_default

Euclid News
Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals' plans in Euclid could affect access to medical care CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The story quietly unfolding at the corner of East 185th Street and Lakeshore Boulevard in Euclid could be one that does more than change the landscape in this eastern Cleveland suburb. Redevelopment plans could greatly affect the way Cleveland-area residents access medical care. University Hospitals and the Cleveland Clinic -- the region's two largest health care systems and fierce competitors -- sit next to each other along a corridor that is easily accessible off I-90. And in an unusual public stance, some local officials seem to be picking one health care facility over the other: They are asking UH to sell its out-of-date 1950s medical office building to the Clinic or work with its neighbor to redevelop the land. The property, they say, is blocking a possible expansion of the health system's 371-bed Euclid Hospital. http://www.cleveland.com/healthfit/index.ssf/2013/02/cleveland_clinic_and_universit.html#incart_m-rpt-2

Weather
The snow wasn't/isn't the problem. it's all the idiot drivers that do not know how to drive in the snow. Although it did not take me much longer than usual (I drive the opposite direction of rush hour), its took many people 4x their actual commute time this morning.
