  1. That sounds like you got some news (or at least a hot rumor)? Care to share if you dare? I know nothing. Just reiterating what others post when too many questions are asked regarding any project: "If there is news, it will likely be posted here before anywhere else"
  2. Did some checking and noticed the Annual ICSC Conference in Vegas was in May. Usually there is some local news reported about such and such mayor going with joe schmoe to lure in national retailers. I sure hope we do not have to wait until next may to hear news. but I have a feeling we won't have to
  3. Can you imagine if this was still the entrance for the City Club? This would also be the best CVS entrance in the WORLD!!!

Today was my first day back to work from vacation since June 8. I REALLY did not want to go to work this morning. I think i will take the next two days off

^Only the bridges (presumably). According to the aforementioned spreadsheet, the only other portion of the Innerbelt to have any work funded is the portion of the trench at East 22nd - and that doesn't even START until 2030. There is no mention (that I recall) of any other portion being funded

Am I reading that correctly in that the Innerbelt curve smoothing is removed completely from the list?
  7. Just look for the pine tree. Then it will be done
  8. I'm not going to say that there was or wasn't a controversy (I've never heard of one), but look at the area. Almost everything was already bulldozed when they put up Rhodes Tower. This picture is from 1950, 18 years before they built Rhodes. What is that spot that looks like a test track next to Mather Mansion?
  9. I was thinking the exact same thing

  12. Which U.S. City Has the Hottest Food-Truck Scene? By Lauren Bloomberg It’s become a phenomenon - food served from roving street vendors whose every stop and turn are tracked by websites and promoted through Twitter. Their lines can run city blocks and turn an average gourmand into an obsessed bite-searcher. The food-truck scene is different in every city. In Chicago, trucks are illegal, and prospective vendors have to find loopholes to run the town. However, in Boston, they’re welcomed with open arms. New York City’s cops spend taxpayers' bucks chasing around illegally parked outposts. http://blog.zagat.com/2012/02/which-us-city-has-hottest-food-truck.html
  13. Cedar Point reportedly building new roller coaster next year SANDUSKY — A $25 million investment in Cedar Point is a lock for a major new rollercoaster that would be the park’s 17th such thrill ride. Park officials did not confirm any new ride, but an industry observer said today that the new ride sounds as if it will be an X-flight-style ride similar to ones at Chicago’s Six Flags Great America park and Dollywood Park in Tenneesee. “Anytime you announce an investment of $25 million, its not for new singage out front,” Gary Slade, publisher of Amusement Today said. “That kind of money lends itself to a major rollercoaster.” More below: http://chronicle.northcoastnow.com/2012/05/30/cedar-point-reportedly-building-new-roller-coaster-next-year/
  14. You're excused. I agree completely about the cheesesteaks in Philly.... meh
  15. There is more than zero in the city. There is one on West 117th Street across the street from Home Depot. There are 19 of them in the region.
  16. The neighborhood as a whole is sorely in need of an updated master plan.
  17. GuitarMania 2012 unveiled today in downtown Cleveland GuitarMania is back. Beginning today and continuing throughout the summer, the public art project in downtown Cleveland will show off giant guitars for visitors and residents. GuitarMania debuted in 2002, according to an online history, building off the a "cow craze" in Zurich, Switzerland in 1998, but transforming it in a very-Cleveland, rock n' roll way. Great pics. Some of those overhead shots would look pretty awesome with a tilt shift filter. Great job being part of "history" without being part of history
  20. And online.
  21. Why would it not ever happen? I've always thought it is something that COULD be changed. Arguably constitutionally protected.
  22. Thank you for continuing to enlighten us, Dr. KJP
