  6. Well, it is November and that means sweeps time. So we will be bombarded with all sorts of public corruption, waste of tax payers money and sex stories for a few more weeks.
  7. To be clear, I meant Hagan was not Commissioner when the initiative to give County Commissioners the say on such taxing matters was placed before Ohio voter's.

RIP Windows 3.1 By Scott Loganbill November 7, 2008 With little fanfare, Microsoft officially stopped serving licenses to the Windows 3.X series on November 1, 18 years after its release. It means people have been using Windows 3.1 long after obsolescence — even after Microsoft dropped support for it in 2001 — in the old ATMs and random advertising displays across the world. Windows 3 led a long life, ushering a generation into the computing world. Oh Windows 3, you made graphical user interfaces cool. We salute you (enter the sound of “Taps” playing on a trumpet somewhere). http://www.webmonkey.com/blog/RIP_Windows_3DOT1
  9. And, Hagan was not a commissioner when the initiative passed.

Councilman Arrested for Peeing on Crowd Updated 11:49 AM EST, Sun, Nov 9, 2008 http://media.nbcnewyork.com/designimages/ico_close_lrg.png[/img]http://media.nbcnewyork.com/images/193*225/Steve+Lipski.jpg[/img] A Jersey City councilman has reportedly been arrested for urinating on a crowd of concertgoers from the balcony of a Washington D.C. nightclub. The New York Daily News reports in Sunday's editions that two-term Jersey City councilman Steve Lipski has been charged with simple assault. The newspaper says 44-year-old Lipski was removed from a place called the 9:30 Club on Friday night. That's after club staffers saw him relieve himself onto the crowd from a second floor balcony during a concert by a Grateful Dead tribute band. Messages left at Lipski's council office, and a Jersey City listing under his name were not immediately returned. 11. ^The voters approved such an act previously. We allowed the commissioners to act on our behalf. I'm sick of hearing people say they raised our taxes without a vote.
  12. Looks great. They let you take pictures in the special exhibit area?

Crennel says Cleveland Browns will discuss signing CB DeAngelo Hall by Mary Kay Cabot Friday November 07, 2008, 1:46 PM Browns coach Romeo Crennel said today that the team will at least discuss the possibility of signing cornerback DeAngelo Hall, who was released this week by the Oakland Raiders. Hall, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, was released after he reportedly struggled in the Raiders' man-to-man scheme and was beaten a lot in the first half of the season. 19. If JFK were around, would we be in this situation with the Federal Reserve? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fed Hires Bear Stearns Risk Boss John Carney | Nov 3, 08 8:35 AM FederalReserveCommercialPaper.jpgIn a move that is sure to put to rest the notion that there are no second acts in American life, former Bear Stearns chief risk officer Michael Alix has landed a job in the office of the Federal Reserve charged with assessing the safety and soundness of domestic banking institutions. We suppose that Alix at least has plenty of experience with unsound banking institutions. He was the chief risk officer of Bear Stearns from 2006 until 2008. So, basically, he was the guy on the mast charged with yelling "iceberg" just before the titantic introduced its bow to a floating hunk of ice. Prior to that he ran credit risk management for Bear from 1996 to 2006, Jon Keehner at Bloomberg points out. That worked out just great. "Alix will be a senior adviser to William Rutledge, executive vice president of the bank supervision group, according to a statement on the New York Fed's Web site. Staff in the group 'assess the safety and soundness of domestic banking institutions,'" Keehner reports. http://www.clusterstock.com/2008/11/fed-hires-bear-stearns-risk-boss ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And for those who like things more technical: http://www.freedomsphoenix.com/Find-Freedom.htm?At=040233&From=News

  21. Is it red, or just an odd shade of orange?
  22. School enrollment has dropped at OLGC. Heck, with three school not more then two blocks from each other (OLGC, St. Mark, and Horizon), I'm surprised there hasn't been a closing yet.
  23. It should look just as good tonight for the Browns game.
