  1. They wouldn't have gotten swept if they had closed the roof on Yankee Stadium.
  2. Stefanski needs to work on his own situational awareness, e.g. going for two when an extra point makes it a one possession game. IDGAF what analytics tells you, that was a poor call that put the team further behind the eight ball. As far as missed explosive plays, Brissett has made it painfully obvious that he is simply not going to make those plays. I’d rather setup easy throws for him by running the ball with the best running back in the NFL (not Hunt, whom we should have traded). With less than 2 minutes left in the third quarter of a game that was 10-6 at the half, Chubb had 9 carries. That in and of itself is a fireable offense. What is the thought process behind that - “Well, I know Belichik is going to take away Chubb, might as well not even other”?
  3. @YABO713 I was looking forward to a spirited defense of the coaching staff. Should I not hold my breath? All ribbing aside, I am shocked that AVP has not been given play calling duties and that Joe Woods is still on the team. But, hey, Coach knows they have to be better and that it starts with him, so we’ve got that going for us.
  4. If only I were allowed to say RUN THE BALL…
  5. Apropos of nothing that happened on the second play of the game, my new nickname for Kevin Stefanski is “galaxy brain”.
  6. Is it just residential, or are they still including the office component?
  7. If only Joba Chamberlain was quarterbacking the Chargers.
  8. Well, at least I know how all our losses will occur. I thought Brissett was supposed to protect the ball. But, hey, he was the 7th ranked passer in the league, so what do I know. ETA: Fire Joe Woods
  9. You should have been drinking for a while now!
  10. I thought Dublin was the least impressive part of my trip to Ireland. Seconding @KJP about the Ring of Kerry/Dingle Peninsula. i loved Dromoland, Killarney, and Cork/Blarney Castle.
  11. LOL. What is the opportune time to witness that?
  12. The defense is clearly the weak link, no argument here. That being said, your over performing quarterback threw the two picks that sealed the losses. Atlanta, playing with backup running backs, ran the ball 25 times in the second half of the game (and they were tied or losing for a majority of that second half). We ran the ball 35 times all game, including 5 for Brissett and the awesome Njoku reverse. If you honestly feel that out second half offensive game plan was 100% on point, then okay I guess. I think we should have run more; you specifically addressed, in all caps, that people who think we should have run more are wrong. Again, the defense is absolutely killing this team and is the main reason we are where we are. But the offense, for all of its over performing, is making baffling decisions at crucial times. Can you defend going hurry up on the first possession for no reason?
  13. I see what you did there. I didn’t know that pre-car accident Garrett could play three of the four D line positions simultaneously.
  14. @Luke_SThe interception to end the game happened with 55 seconds left, after Brissett took a god awful sack to put us at *checks notes* our 46 yard line. We were well within Cade York range before we went backwards 13 yards. That being said, Joe Woods is doing an abysmal job, and the defense is incredibly disappointing this season. Definitely not holding up their end of the bargain. @YABO713As for running not being a winning formula, I said we need to rely on Chubb until Watson comes back. Never said we would win the Super Bowl that way. You have to get to the playoffs to get boat raced by Buffalo, and this team is a lucky kick and horrible coaching decisions by Pittsburgh (and not having to go against TJ Watt) from being 0-4.
  15. Just to clarify, I think overall Stefanski does a pretty good job calling plays. But then he outthinks himself, like Wallace Shawn in the Princess Bride and we end up crapping the bed.
  16. It’s not just singular play calls, though the ones I highlighted were particularly atrocious. The stats you mention are, for the most part, in spite of Brissett. I think we can all agree on that. The issue is that when you need to make plays, why put it in his hands as opposed to your best player? You know, the one who is doing things at the position that haven’t been done since Jim Brown. I know you can’t run the ball every play (unless you’re the Falcons, apparently, since that is precisely what they did to us with trash running backs), but everyone with half a brain says that for the Browns to be successful until Watson gets back you have to get a lead and run the ball. Stefanski elected to get no points on the opening drive and keep our best player on the sideline when we needed him the most. We should be using our running game like the Steelers did to us with Bettis: run it and run it and run it, and in the fourth quarter their D is too gassed to put up a fight.
  17. The Falcons give up 5 yards per carry this season. Nick Chubb got 19 carries and didnt sniff the field on that last drive. Whatever you want to tell yourself about Stefanski's playcalling/gameplan, that is not acceptable. So this was going into hurry up on the first drive when we had it 1st and goal from the two or whatever. Absolutely boneheaded. Then you go for it on fourth and get completely blown up. Its maddening. And he called a reverse for... David Njoku? Take that section of the playbook and incinerate it.
  18. Horrible call going hurry up from 2nd and goal on the first possession. Playing catch-up the game after that. SMH. Run. The. F*{%ing. Ball.

TIL Napalm Death still tours! I somehow missed the boat on Built to Spill for, like, 20 years, but I've rectified that by listening to There's Nothing Wrong WIth Love pretty much on repeat the last month and a half.
  20. Watching Brisset, especially these last two games, just makes me so much more pissed about last year. All you have to do is be on time with the ball, Stefanski will get you an open throw. No wonder OBJ wanted out so bad. Three step drop, nothing there deep, give it to the chief for 5-8 yards. Easy money.
  21. Its the most valuable player award, not the most unique. Take Ohtani off the angels and... not much changes. Take Judge off the yankees they probably arent in the playoffs.
  22. Judge is most likely going to win the triple crown and hit the most HRs in AL history. Ohtani is doing admittedly impressive stuff for a sub .500 team, but one is clearly more valuable than the other.
  23. Thanks, guys. Now I have Once in a Lifetime stuck in my head.

I think that the fact the unprotected picks are staggered helps a bit. Yeah, Utah being able to swap the in between years kinda sucks, but it’s not the end of the world.
