Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
I get that, but there are crosswalks, right? And how many lanes is the shoreway compared to Lakeside? I mean, pick any street in Manhattan; it has more traffic than the Shoreway, and people aren't getting mown down left and right.

Whatcha Reading?
Had a trip to Panama last week, so I got to knock out a couple of books, and they made for quite a two-hander: Ask the Dust by John Fante and Ham on Rye by Charles Bukowski. Ask the Dust is better, but hot damn both are great. Fante's influence on Bukowski is clear from the jump, and I can only thank god Bukowski stumbled upon him. The quote on the cover of Ask the Dust sums up my feelings pretty well: "Either the work of John Fante is unknown to you or it is unforgettable. He was not the kind of writer to leave room in between."

What are you watching?
Caught up with Titane this past saturday at the Cinematheque. Pretty good, but I think Raw was better overall. I was hoping for more Tetsuo and less Boys Don't Cry. She also could've leaned harder into the Gozu-esque ending.

I did mean Ontario. But the Carnegie side could use some sprucing up, too 😆

What is the status of the proposed park on Carnegie opposite Jacobs Field? That stretch is straight out of Mad Max right now, and the park/greenspace would do wonders for that area.

i thought with all the asbestos and crazy repairs needed that it is wildly cost prohibitive to rehab the existing tower.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I think we need to go balls deep in trying to lure Russel Wilson here. I dont think theres a chance in hell Rdogers comes here, but who knows.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Either Baker played with such a severe injury that he could not win us very winnable games, and the injury affected his ability to read basic coverage, in which case Stefanski has a lot of explaining to do, or he just isnt good enough. What is his record when we have the ball at the end of the game with chance to win, 1-12?

OG Bebop is the creme de la creme of anime. It takes a bit to get going, but after eipsode 5 everything clicks and it really hits its stride. Pierrot le Fou and Mushroom Samba are two of my favorite episodes.

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
"In other MidTown Cleveland news, Epstein noted that the community development corporation received an unidentified number of responses to its request for qualifications (RFQ) for an ambitious rebirth of the Euclid-East 55th Street intersection and surrounding area." @KJP Any little birdies give you any details on any of the RFQs?

I would say this is a bridge too far but, then again, the Frank Jacknife doesn't go very far at all.

Suburban Sprawl News & Discussion
Regardless of whether a certain freeway was under construction in 1959 or 1961, to agrue that the development of the freeway/highway system in NEO has not had a deleterious effect on Cleveland's population, and that the construction of this system did not disproportionately effect people of color, is a tad disingenuous. The governent in effect "released" the land for development by providing better access to the farmlands of Strongsville, etc.

I'm assuming by trifecta you mean a third embarassing, highly public failure to build something?
