I think @KJPmentioned something about the owners renovating the storefronts (maybe the whole building), but i could just be making that up. Does anyone know if/where Dave's reopened downtown?

Everything about that picture is nuts. Who would lay out a town like that? And is that a car factory to the lower right of the roundabout?

I have seen Hidden Fortress. Definitely lesser Kurosawa, but fun for the connections you mentioned.

Getting away from comic book movies, I finally peeped Throne of Blood, and can confirm its greatness. I know its not Wages of Fear, @mrnyc, but I will get to that soon enough.

LOL, I love Troma movies, but I wouldn't use them as a favorable comparison to a $100+ studio soft reboot. Then again, I also have not enjoyed any of the DC movies, save certain portions of the first Wonder Woman.

Keep tilting at windmills, bro. All you is complain on here. You can find hundreds of things all over the state that are funded with state tax dollars that don't directly benefit you. I suggest you make a detailed list of them, then rank by the level of hatred they inspire in you, and read it to yourself at night to help you go to sleep.

@YABO713I've heard Mom's is great, but have never been. I don't know if it would be considered a greasy spoon, but Gene's Place is one of my favorite restaurants in town. If you've never been, then you must go. Right now.
