  1. This is cool and all, but I really wish that all the media outlets in town would relocate to east 12th and combine with playhouse square to create a really cool media center downtown.
  2. They should use the Call Marie sign to top this thing off in lieu of the usual tree.
  3. https://www.cleveland.com/news/2021/03/cryptic-site-plan-for-sherwin-williams-headquarters-reveals-important-questions-that-call-for-public-input.html @cfdwarrior just let er rip! Litt addresses pretty much all of the concerns we've had. For as bad as the Center for Excellence or whatever its called is, the parking garage sounds horrible as currently proposed.
  4. Agreed. Also, 668 isn't City Club's problem.
  5. @KJP Do those areas for future development/expansion have anything to do with the rumored spin off developments the HQ is supposed to catalyze?
  6. Or even if they just extended the tree planters in the middle of the road, like down by 9th.
  7. Beat me to it! @David I think this is in Colombia.
  8. That surcharge is a b*tch. $100 extra per year for hybrid, $200 for electric.
  9. You guys are right, this looks waaaay better than that stupid newfangled apartment building...
  10. I just drove down Clark from Scranton to 65th for the first time in a couple of years, and boy howdy has the street resurfacing made a huge difference. I agree that the stretch you are mentioning feels odd, but it still looks better there than it did 5 years ago. And, as you get into the W40s and 50s it definitely starts to feel more urban. As an aside, does anyone know what those white poles are that are being installed around 25th and Clark?
  11. i think its a comment about rushing to judgment. I'm inferring that his implication is that the latest news is the equivalent of Baker's pick 6 to start the first Pittsburgh game.
  12. It sounds as if the parking lots SW are replacing have more public interaction than these buildings will. SAD!
  13. This is the worst rendering yet posted. Definitely does not belong on Public Square.
  14. Wow. I hope this is just the old Allard hyperbole fastball. Hyland is consistently rated one of the top workplaces.
  15. https://www.cleveland.com/business/2021/01/luxury-neighborhood-proposed-for-valor-acres-in-brecksville.html
  16. This a TMUD project? I remember you hinting it was a big development.
  17. LOL. My point was not that it would look identical to the BOK turd. I was being hyperbolic. My point is that if your inspiration is BOK (or Freddie Got Fingered), then I judge that to be disappointing.
  18. People judge things all the time. For instance, lets say your favorite director says he is going to make another movie, and its going to be based on Vertigo. You get excited, because you love your favorite director, and Vertigo is Sight and Sound's best movie of all time. Then, as it gets closer to production, you hear that its going to be a shot-for-shot remake of Freddy Got Fingered (a la Gus Van Sant's Psycho remake). You, and every other sane person, would judge this to be disappointing. Here's to hoping Tom Green doesn't work for Pickard Chilton. 🍻
  19. i think @KJP got hired by SWP to run interference. Its the only thing that makes sense...
  20. I say we split the difference and go with that then. i always liked those renderings, and they had sort of a campus feel.
  21. How tall was the biggest building in the Weston Superblock proposal?
