  1. It’s super impressive, but 50 homers/50 doubles has happened exactly once in MLB history. Belle is more impressive to me, but Kwan is awesome and I hope he gets .400
  2. There was a huge Reddit thread about the similarities from the two about a year ago. I’ll have to try and dig it up.
  3. I doubt we are leaving downtown. Even pre-Covid only about 2/3 of the space was occupied. The parking situation was the straw that broke the camel’s back, if I had to guess. Definitely no indications of full WFH; plus, there is significant IT and mailing operations that won’t be going anywhere.
  4. Refresh my memory, which project is this?

I prefer to Mosh for Jesus:
  6. I think it’s a cumulative thing what with the bridge being closed for, like, ever.
  7. We know its conceptual by the the sheer number of living trees lol.
  8. Am I missing something here with these renderings? The bottom left looks like the arrivals pick up lane at Hopkins (which I suppose makes sense with this stupid location), the hotels or crappy office buildings look like GEIS has pre-value engineered them, and the stadium? looks like someone typed "random heap of geometric shapes" into a really bad AI.
  9. Sounds expensive AF to me.
  10. Guys, it’s a Rini-Rego’s and we all know it.
  11. No offense, but I couldn't think of a worse use for this beautiful building. I guess I could see your point if we were swimming in amazing old buildings like this one, but, sadly, we tore most of them down.
  12. We need one of those slider pictures to compare the parking lots with the new tower.
  13. I have no idea what I’m talking about, but $3.3 million sounds like a pretty good sized chunk of change for that property. They must be ready to roll on phase 2.
  14. Telling UO board denizens to be patient reminds me of that old chestnut: "You can wish in one hand and s*@# in the other and see which get filled first."
  15. Woods was David Berman's backing band on the Purple Mountains record. I don't really dig their own stuff, but that record is amazing.
  16. More like a loss leader.
  17. Toast in Gordon Square announced today it's permanently closing toast April 3. FTFY.
  18. Looks pretty sweet. I just hope it doesnt sit there by itself for too long.
  19. Bobcats can't weigh more than 40, maybe 50 pounds. I def wont be parking there lol.
  20. Just thinking out loud, what would be the best location for a tower to fill in the gap between SW and Key in this photo?
  21. Looks a billion times better than shipping containers. I'm guessing they still have stuff to install.
