Huron County: Campground now catering to gay men
Fitchville campground thriving under new ownership By MARY LISA BOOSE - Reflector Staff Writer | Friday May 30 2008, 11:43am http://www.norwalkreflector.com/articles/2008/05/31/news/local/iq_560821.txt FITCHVILLE - After the initial firestorm of controversy with the news that Freedom Valley Campground would be the state's first all-male campground catering to gays, the new owners were a little concerned about the community's reaction. Their sexual orientation wasn't a big deal in Cleveland, but they had chosen a rural, conservative area and a gay campground in Fitchville was a big change. A successful opening this spring, including about 200 campers over Memorial Day weekend, has allayed those concerns and they now looking forward to adding to the local economy...

The Windy City
I was cleaning house and looking through a good portion of my computer files when I stumbled across these random Chicago pictures I had taken in late April/early May last year (2007). I'll admit I'm not the best urban photographer, nature photography is more of my specialty; nonetheless, I hope you all like these pics. Oh yeah and I used two different cameras so the sizes may vary from pic to pic  I am fortunate enough to have a friend who used to live in a high-rise across from Soldier Field (the South Loop neighborhood) so I had a home base whenever I took the train into the city. Unfortunately for me and my college town, the nearest Metra station is a 15 mile drive to the east........but it's still better than driving the whole way in! Enjoy! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Skyline Hancock Lake Point Tower Lake Shore Drive Michigan Avenue Views from my friend's former-condo Planetarium Anti-War Gathering The Indiana shore in the distance That state up north (well, out east in this case) Bus-Only road to the left; Metra and freight rail to the right (obviously) Sun setting

Sandusky: Ashford Park
The location of Ashford Park is behind the Sandusky Mall on sprawl-tastic US Route 250, with views of the tourist traffic congestion, a limestone quarry, and a 1960's style subdivision. The waterfront would have been a nice location for this project :)
