  1. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  2. It’s my understanding that the HBI product from this plant will also be sold to EAF mini-mills as well.
  3. How much of the above mentioned SHW employment growth is from new stores/retail staff? Those people wouldn’t figure into hq office space.
  4. I’m no metals expert but Cleveland-Cliffs is building a Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) plant in Toledo while the Petmin plant in Ashtabula will produce Nodular Pig Iron....🤷‍♂️
  5. Yes, that plant is well underway and pretty close to completion iirc. Toledo developments thread has updates and pics
  6. Anything having to do with “Spiders” sucks imo; the marketing options are garbage. I cast my meaningless vote for “Commodores” in honor of Commodore Perry’s victory over the Brits in the Battle of Lake Erie and Cleveland’s obvious nautical history. It just makes so much historical & marketing sense....could be tied into lighthouses, oreboats, etc what have you.
  7. I spent all summer working on that project and think the lobby/bar/reception areas turned out really well. A really nice add for downtown Canton👌
  8. @YABO713, good point; fun fact that Cleveland’s “former” ArcelorMittal plant not only has a greater steel-making capacity then US Steel’s Edgar Thomson Works (3.6 mil tons v. 2.9 mil tons) but ArcelorMittal/Cleveland Cliffs works is IN Cleveland while Edgar Thomson is in Braddock PA. Im a steel history nerd like some others on here?
  9. Senior in HS?
  10. Question: Has every sub-contractor for this project been determined & announced? The main players have, including Welty Gilbane, I get that; but there will literally be dozens of smaller sub’s underneath these Mgt co’s on a project of this size and being in construction myself I find it impossible to believe that all of those parties have been lined up & published at this point. Or have they? Where is this info coming from?
  11. @Dblcut3, just checked out your Instagram page...it is fantastic!
  12. I like the “UrbanOhio.com” on the Jack Casino garage video billboard??
  13. So this has gone from Blockchain-focused project to Business/tech incubator to some sort of vaguely-defined tech-oriented real estate makeover that was heavily counting on SHW’s involvement. Got it. ?‍♂️
  14. Elevator riders??‍♂️
  15. Maybe because those small lots used to be individual buildings and/or bldg lots that were either demo’d or never built on, but later acquired & combined into parking lots?
  16. And there were probably a few that were hoping for something taller?
  17. Meh, the E&Y building has some height to it, but IMO the signature structure is the Main Ave Bridge.
  18. Lol, I have a copy of that Sanborn map with the SW location and I was going to get up and find it before I scrolled to the bottom of your post and saw that it had already been posted. #CLEhistorynerd
  19. Maybe this is obvious, but NFL games are predominantly on Sunday afternoons and the stadiums are often removed from any urban life/grid/etc so any bars “next” to said stadiums would probably have a tough go of it outside of the 10 home games each season. Even in the case of FES, who’s trekking down there now to partake in any hypothetical bar/restaurant scene outside of Browns home games?
  20. ^Is that ceiling just painted pan-decking? Because it sure looks like it.
  21. Per Mary Kay’s article DePodesta isn’t taking over football ops so that potentially leaves the door open for McDaniels to bring his own GM or whomever they hire to either have greater roster authority or bring someone with them who will?‍♂️
  22. Dorsey our per Schefter at ESPN
  23. Kitchens fired, per Jake Trotter ESPN
  24. Yeah, pretty much all of that^. This team, as constructed, can’t wait around for Kitchens to “figure it out” if ever; this team is seemingly talented enough to at least compete for a playoff spot right now, and the windows for certain players are open right now before guys need to get paid or let go and the Browns can’t waste these coming years. Go get a veteran HC with some playoff experience.
