Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
It's a townhouse project though. How would they work retail into the design? Why would they want to?

Toxic Masculinity
Pretty sure it was this toxic masculinity video that prompted the NFL to pursue social work; 'member Ray Rice 2014?

Toxic Masculinity
Couple years back I couldn't believe there were ''don't beat women'' ads running during NFL games; why would this message need to be run, who thinks it's OK to beat women? Of course it was due to the NFL harboring its own ''women beating'' players. So, now CLE Browns have this woman beater poster player (why didn't GE include this in its anti-white male toxic masculinty PSA?) and that kick at the end really just says it all. This was at the fancy "9" apartments in downtown Cleveland:

Cleveland: Random Development and News
When it initially opened it was pretty busy, I mean the BP building is large so there were lots of workers. There were retail shops in there as well; men and women clothing etc.

Don't know who stated VA Gov was the epitome of toxic masculinity; I stated that VA Lt.Gov. Fairfax is the epitome of toxic masculinity because he is the epitome of toxic male behavior. Sexual assault and rape pretty much top ''the epitome of'' list. Fairfax is the sexual assaulter and rapist, he hasn't apologized for something he said he is innocent of. Maybe you're thinking of VA Atty Gen, I mean there are blackfacers, blackface enablers, rapist, sexual assaulter here.- Toxic Masculinity
Yes, the getting ever more elusive concept of Due Process. Imagine the idea of Due Process when social media has already indicted and convicted someone. Like with Kavanaugh, questioning the female is tantamount to supporting sexual abuse. Thank God at least the Fairfax accusers are black females so we don't have to deal with the race card on the offenses, at least so far as there could be more alleged victims out there, but may still face it if Fairfax ends being forced to resign while the white male privileged toxic masculinity (that's a lot of adjectives) VA Gov and Atty Gen stay in office.- Toxic Masculinity
Exactly what the Democratic Party said about Hillary Clinton in 2008...- Toxic Masculinity

So you were just a plain old bully then or just a plain old a-hole. A common character in every school. Punishment wasn't ever severe but coming up in Cleveland Public Schools wasn't easy so one could find themselves in a fight or several throughout the school years. So you were an a-hole back in school, I guess today it's called Toxic Masculinity. It just sounds like you grew up.- Toxic Masculinity
So should the epitome of toxic masculinity, VA Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax resign? Accused of sexual assault and now a separate allegation of rape has emerged from a 2nd woman. Serious criminal charges here. Can't see how Fairfax can stay in office; but leaving the white toxic masculinity Gov. and Atty Gen, both known ''blackfacers'' (non-criminal acts) may create more problems.- The "Generation Gap"
"oldies'' used to be music from about 10 years prior; no reason the late '80s, 30 years ago, isn't ''classic rock'' by now and should have been about 20 years ago. Groups like U2 have been around for 40 years!- Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
Of course financing is often the most obvious obstacle but a city's local City Hall mentality is the core of how any city operates, including development obviously. Still optimistic due to the out of town investor group, its history, and the fact that this project (Market Square) isn't downtown. Look at the residential development on Detroit Avenue in the "hip'' named Hingetown. W25/Lorain is at the core of Ohio City.- Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
Prior post retracted. Why would enthusiastic developers come in from Chicago and buy this property if they weren't going to do anything with it? Buyout the leases. Not a case of local developers like Stark it seems. Anyway, I forget I'm back in Cleveland where vacant lots sit empty in prime locations for x# decades and the mayor appointments an ex-con wife beater turned murderer to a city job at the direction of the local sitting U.S. House Rep and no one cares. Pretty much sums up CLE City Hall mentality; some things never change lol. Let's hope 925 Euclid can get moving maybe.- Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
Well, I would put Market Plaza as the next project since it's pretty much a ''go''. Of course City Club Apartments could announce a building on the Hippodrome site and break ground this summer for example ? before Market Plaza starts.- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
The CLE school district isn't interested in integrating this school into anything. The school district is making a stand on this key parcel in a booming and gentrifying neighborhood. Prime land the school dist could have sold for nice $$ but it decides to stay and rebuild as it cries the $ blues. Look what it did with nuCLEus.- Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Sounds like a primer for St Patrick's Day parade; fortunately this year's parade is on a Sunday so the odds of racially motivated attacks are decreased this year. Then again, the Irish are stereotyped collectively as notorious racists so maybe it's all justified. You're lucky you didn't get popped (punched) and gang pummeled by one these kids.- Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
It's on school days usually and has been an off and on again issue for decades.- The "Generation Gap"
There's a generation gap? Nothing like the '60s-'70s though if today's generation gap is premised on differences in using rotary phones, can openers, and types of tuna being consumed.- Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development

An extension/expansion of the downtown convention center over the railroad track ''moat'' could work. Let's not forget that the downtown facility is much smaller than Cleveland's other giant convention center, ranked as a top-10 largest in the U.S.: the IX Center. Cleveland ranks in the top tier cities like Chicago, Orlando, and Las Vegas. Nice to hear though that the downtown convention center is doing well; the location is great, very urban obviously. One comment made by attendees at the recent girls volleyball tournament: no close-by fast food restaurants. Not sure what's left in Tower City, but some people had to drive away from downtown to get something fast to eat. So, I would expect the nearby food and other options to develop north of the Huntington Center as Cleveland finally connects to its downtown lakefront. Wonder if food trucks etc lined up on the east-west sides of Mall C? Again, it's nice to hear that the Huntington Center is busy and there's grumbling that Cleveland needs more downtown space. Any expansion would be north, which if done right, could tie the lakefront to the Malls, finally.- Toxic Masculinity
Interesting though that the sexual aggressive male scenes, actually all the aggressive behaviors, are white men and the ''do the right thing'' interventions are by ''men of color''. Thank you ''men of color'' for showing white males how to treat women...lol. I actually don't recall a time when fighting boys were allowed by adults; male or female, would end it, and appropriately message or punish the kids involved. Even the ''urban street'' scene of hoodied black males always has happened. Someone steps in to help the kid fending on his own. Interesting as well that this ad runs during the playing of an aggressively violent male sport. We'll see what the NFL payoff is on the social messaging and politics its engaging in.- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
So, is it Cleveland doing everything on the cheap, as you state, or the inability to get financing? Big difference. New downtown residential construction currently is a challenge. Cleveland has done and made lots of mistakes whether it's on the cheap or simply misguided. You only take this back to nuCLEus and Weston lots, haven't you learned anything from the on the cheap and misguied Red and Waterfront Rapid Transit Lines?- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Sounds like a case of ''reading what you're looking for'' here. Not a case of the developer getting ''cheap''; you did read upwards of a 1,000 units. The headline does read ''adjusts plans for first apartment building''.- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
There's thing place called Burke Lakefront Airport directly east of this prime real estate. Baltimore Harbor isn't adjacent to an airport. Also, this 16 unit apartment building is on a small parcel, so it's a limited sized development all around: footprint and height. You are aware of Burke Airport and where it is, right? Not sure why you would go to Cleveland being small minded otherwise related to this topic. - Toxic Masculinity
