Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
There was a carry out Indian restaurant in OTR!? I don't even remember hearing about it.

The drivers in ________ city SUCK!
To be fair this is a Danish study and not something done here in the US. I highly doubt there is that much of a law breaking difference here, and I would still argue that breaking laws would be more against cyclists than motorists.

Cincinnati: Fountain Square: Development and News
Boring anecdote, but when I was looking for a new IT job 10 years ago I saw some postings at Kroger. I lived across the street from the Kroger Building on Central Parkway and found out that the IT jobs were all at their Mason location. I refused to even entertain a job that would require me to look at their corporate building every morning before commuting for ages to the burbs.

At least close the existing skywalk to the Convention Center. That would take absolutely $0 to do. Not sure why that hasn't been done yet.

Cincinnati Aerial Photos (2018)
In that 15th and Vine picture it almost looks like the new construction was a computer generated image for getting design approval. Yeeesh....

I wouldn't give Tamaya that much credit. I've seen a lot of posts from her that are at best tone deaf and at worst incredibly racist. She even once posted that if you didn't attend some African American circus event (with plenty of clowns) then you were a racist. Um, no Tamaya, I'm not attending an event with lots of clowns because that's just creepy.

Yeah, I'm incredibly disappointed in Tamaya Dennard. Her racist rant against the owner of Cheapside Cafe was when I first realized I made a mistake voting for her. I'm hoping all her nonsense is brought back up at the next election so that we can get her out of city politics.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Am I the only person who constantly has to deal with the addicts and con artists on the streetcar in the evenings? I finally got fed up and took this photo a bit ago. The poor older couple at the front of the streetcar weren't too thrilled, so I doubt they'll be riding again. This is why I'm not too keen on free fares. Stuff like this will only get worse if the baddies don't need to worry about getting called out for not having a ticket.

Do you know where they're planning on opening their new location? With their bad history I really hope it doesn't open near us.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
This is pretty common for OTRCH. To a lesser extent I have the same issues with Tender Mercies although they at least make some effort (albeit not nearly enough). These non-profits don't make much of an effort to be good neighbors and lash out at people who point out their failings. Unfortunately, you just have to keep calling the police enough to get them listed as a nuisance property before they'll address the issues. It'll take a lot of effort and coordination with police to get them to clean up their act sadly.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Court Street Developments and News
I'm not saying to wait for Kroger to do something. I'm just saying to engage Kroger and coordinate any efforts in the area with them. If they aren't willing to improve their terrible HQ design then let it be. They may actually be willing to work together with the City of Cincinnati if there is a mutual benefit to both. I've never understood the idea of pushing these public improvement ideas without co-coordinating with the local community and neighborhood stakeholders.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Court Street Developments and News
With the Kroger HQ Building being such a deadening influence in the north-west portion of the street, I just don't know why we should bother making this section of Court Street pedestrian only. Their building is just brick wall for nearly half the block on the northern side. I'd say wait until all the redevelopment of the buildings is done and the new Kroger store has opened. Then see if Kroger is planning on doing anything with their corporate HQ before going down this path. Unless they're going to be a partner in this endeavor I'd say there are other things we can focus on.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Convention Center / Hotel
I just assumed the same thing. Very likely the developer of any new hotel to the south would be lining his pockets.
