  1. Oh gosh, I not 100% sure. I'm guessing you can get it for less than that as the county probably doesn't want to own those properties. The only issue with properties like these is that it will cost a small fortune to stabilize and eventually rehab.
  2. Looks like there are three connected properties are for Forfeited Land Sale in the northwest corner of OTR for anyone interested. https://www.google.com/maps/@39.1216646,-84.528221,3a,75y,202.17h,100.26t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sHv4MzO5BaW8dIlMEud0INw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 http://www.hamiltoncountyauditor.org/pdf/FLSAD2016.pdf
  3. Yeah right. I'll only believe it when the building is up and they're selling their first avocado. I'm getting pretty tired of the last decade+ of grocery rumors that end in nothing.
  4. This is huge as West Court Deli is a source of problems in the area. I'm assuming they will be kicked out as part of the development.
  5. We live nearby and XUMelanie sat down with the developersa week or so ago. It sounds like demolition will happen this year and the early project estimates have the project completed some time in 2018-2019. So, basically we're a ways off. I wouldn't doubt that the OTR Community Council is looking to stop this project and others in the neighborhood. They've really gone off the deep end lately. Seems like their leadership is lacking and in some serious disarray. The extreme elements of the community have taken the opportunity to hijack the organization sadly.
  6. WOW, THAT's HUGE!!! That bar is a huge drug dealing center in the neighborhood. Where did you hear this?
  7. I really think Smitherman is a POS and probably using this as an angle to get re-elected, but it is nice that people are willing to make an effort to catch some of these criminals.
  8. So... streetcars....

Nada at 6th and Walnut is an amazing a take on Mexican food and is one of my favorite places to eat downtown. http://eatdrinknada.com/cincinnati/
  10. I doubt that the stops could be used with the buses unless the boarding height is the same as the streetcar. If it were higher or lower on the bus that could present a problem.
  11. If you want Chinese check out Orient Restaurant at 627 Main Street, although it is an example of a place I'm never 100% sure when it's open. The guy who owns the place is the salt of the earth and is someone who recognizes the benefits of the streetcar to the city.
  12. Yes, Yum Yum is a perfect example. I've walked by that place four or five times a week for the last two years and was never able to figure out if was open.
  13. I've noticed this with plenty of businesses as well. People tell me I should try various places I walk past quite often, but I'm never really sure when the places are open even while walking by them. It's really bizarre almost like they just stopped caring and want to go out of business.
  14. Could the streetcar be pulled by truck, or is the cost too high?
  15. Why can't the people who run these festivals put on their big boy/girl pants and accommodate the perpendicular crossing of the streetcar at two spots in the festival? What is so hard about that? Are we really that small time here in Cincinnati that we can't do what's done in cities all over the world?

Sittenfeld is your run of the mill lying politician. At gatherings he'd tell streetcar supporters he was for the project and then the next day told streetcar opponents that he'd make sure the project was cancelled. Given the choice of two sleazy politicians I gave it to Strickland who would better represent my interests and more likely to win against a Republican (a Party that's a hot mess right now).
  17. Anyone heard any updates on the development on Central Parkway between Vine and Race?
  18. Revelations at a church? I hope so! ;) Ha, I didn't even mean to do that *blush*. There was a Streetcar Community Meeting at 9am this morning that I was trying to attend, but of course workload today wouldn't allow. Anyone go?
  19. Did anyone go to the Cincinnati Streetcar meeting today at Christ Church Cathedral (318 E 4th)? If so, were there any interesting revelations?
  20. If you don't mind me asking - that price point is for a unit in the American Building? It's a mainly condo complex with a few apartments rented by a few of us who needed to rent their units due to moving elsewhere, so there really is no standard price point.
  21. I'm not sure why/how they can offer a 2,000 sq/ft apartment for $1,200/month. We've got a rental at Walnut and Central Parkway that's the opposite at 1,200 sq/ft for $2,000/month and had no real issues finding a tenant.
  22. Are we getting another streetcar delivered tomorrow afternoon (March 2nd)?
  23. That and @RoadmapCincy is usually not even updated for the week until Monday afternoon or even Tuesday making it a much outdated source of information on top of its frequent inaccuracies.

3794.01(H) "Retail tobacco store" means a retail establishment that derives more than eighty percent of its gross revenue from the sale of cigars, cigarettes, pipes, or other smoking devices for burning tobacco and related smoking accessories and in which the sale of other products is merely incidental. "Retail tobacco store" does not include a tobacco department or section of a larger commercial establishment or of any establishment with a liquor permit or of any restaurant. 3794.03(E) Retail tobacco stores as defined in section 3794.01(H) of this chapter in operation prior to the effective date of this section. The retail tobacco store shall annually file with the department of health by January thirty first an affidavit stating the percentage of its gross income during the prior calendar year that was derived from the sale of cigars, cigarettes, pipes, or other smoking devices for smoking tobacco and related smoking accessories. Any retail tobacco store that begins operation after the effective date of this section or any existing retail tobacco store that relocates to another location after the effective date of this section may only qualify for this exemption if located in a freestanding structure occupied solely by the business and smoke from the business does not migrate into an enclosed area where smoking is prohibited under the provisions of this chapter.
