Cincinnati's Homeless Population
Friday nights are particularly bad for drug dealing in that area. Tonight is going to be rough.

Cincinnati's Homeless Population
There has to be a zoning/use violation here. I can't believe that in an urban area that camping is permitted like this. I really hope that the city no longer provides any funding for Over the Rhine Community Housing projects in the future after this.

Cincinnati's Homeless Population
I'm sort of surprised there sticking around the cbd of cincy, and haven't simply jumped across the river to NKY... It wouldn't be in Josh Spring's interest to do that. This is all about him.

Cincinnati's Homeless Population
Yeah, I heard about the extension of the borders. Has anyone walked by either Lytle Tunnel or Jack Casino yet today?

Cincinnati's Homeless Population
Anyone have an update on the Lytle tunnel encampment or Jack Casino one?

Cincinnati's Homeless Population
I just dropped off my daughter at a daycare around 8am this morning on Third and Walnut and I didn't see a single tent.

Cincinnati's Homeless Population
I guess being less than a block away from the jail will make it easier when they're inevitably locked up. On the flip side Third Street was cleared this morning.

Cincinnati's Homeless Population
This particular issue though is a city manager one, so unless City Council passes any ordinances or the like (which are subject to mayoral veto) this is an issue managed by Patrick Duhaney.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
I helped set up WiFi for Cincinnati Bell back in the day (early 2000s) for the Digital Rhine Main Street tech startup times of OTR. Obviously it was a bust, but I could really see something like that take off nowadays.

Ohio's 1st Congressional District
I love how "above-average college graduation rates" equates to voting against Republican candidates.

Well, except for the "Treehouse Bar" where you can hear the thumping blocks away, but for the most part I agree with you.

Cincinnati's Homeless Population
Tamaya Dennard on City Council, who was the one who propagated racism claims against a local business (which were proven to be lies based on police body camera footage), is the one leading the charge. Instead of trying to come up with a compassionate and permanent solution to the problem she's pushing to allow the tent city to remain there. *sigh*

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
That's happened to me on a few occasions as well and I did the same thing. It's quite easy when you're with family, friends or little kids to just forget. I once had a cop check and I realized when I opened the app I forgot to activate the tickets. The officer was very understanding, but that might be because he sees me on the thing so often and I usually have activated tickets.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
I think passengers were let off the streetcar after about fifteen minutes. It sounds like from the tabloid write-up that Portune was rear ended and not at fault. Not sure if that's accurate or not, but initially it doesn't sounds like he hit the streetcar.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
Streetcar was held up a second time in the last few weeks last night on Race near Central Parkway due to someone who apparently can't park their SUV. Last time it took nearly 90 minutes to tow the car and restart service. This time it only took about 45 minutes to tow the SUV and restart service. I'm trying to figure out if this is progress because they're getting faster at clearing the vehicles, or taking another step back since people continue to block the streetcar on the regular.

Um, so about Cincinnati's Homeless Population....

Cincinnati: Liberty Street Road Diet
We struggled to find out three bedroom in OTR and paid a hefty price to get it. I really wish there were more 3 bedrooms in the neighborhood even if the individual bedrooms are small.

Cincinnati: Bicycling Developments and News
Why is it the responsibility of a pedestrian on the sidewalk to constantly look over their shoulder to avoid getting run over by a cyclist? It is a sideWALK after all. There is little reason for cyclists to not be in the street and if you're hell bent on riding on the sidewalk it is your responsibility to yield to pedestrians not the other way around. I've known too many people injured by irresponsible cyclists who expect pedestrians to be on full time high alert to avoid being hit by them.

Me and you both! I'll try and check with the guy who lives right next door to the project to see if he's heard anything.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
The owners of the building claimed ignorance and said they were being taken advantage of by the patrons, but that's a load of !%#^*. Just like the cell phone store that was in the same building, they didn't care if illegal activity was going on as long as they were making money. That is the same money they refused to use to fix up their building that has been crumbling in around them for many, many years. Basically, the owners are real pieces of !%#^*.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
I spoke with someone over the weekend that knows the guy who is opening it and he's certain that it's not going back to the bad old days of when it was a crack bar. I guess they're having building issues which is why it's being delayed a few weeks. That's not too surprising as the owners of the building are the same ones that actually ran the crack bar and have been cited over and over again for building violations. I just hope the guy(s) running the bar know how much a piece of !$[/member]#% the owner of the building is and have put protections in their lease.

Cincinnati: Festivals, Music Concerts, & Events
bfwissel replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentThere is a reason why that venue does not attract the bands that other cities get. It's a combination of the layout of the venues and the mediocre management.
