A picture from my political science text book: edit: it's kinda hard to tell with the small pic, but there is no line pointing to Ohio, they simply messed up and put OH inside of the Indiana state lines.

An Isolated Thunderstorm, that is. The rain came down so quickly it overflowed the gutters. Even overwhelming the drainage pipe on the patio. Then it started to hail. Even the municipal storm sewers were no match for the deluge. The cats were none too happy about the storm either. SUV to the rescue. Afterwards, there were piles of hail all over the place. (The hail brought down the temperature by about 15 degrees.) In some places the mulch had been eroded. There were little branches and leaves everywhere. The storm sewer had a little more than just twigs. In the end, everything went back to normal. (The cat still had a flavor.) Ok, so the pictures may not have been anything special, but it was one hell of a storm for about 30 minutes. I'll leave you with some interesting things I found in Indiana. and (I-65 south exit 133, just north of Indy.)

A few pics from Purdue in the snow. (We had 1.5 days off. It was supposedly the 5th time the university had ever declared a snow day. They were forced to by the county this time.) The rest: http://www.hydrobond.net/gallery/tours/purdue_snow/index.html
  12. what are you talking about? that is the reality now. My undergrad is in African History, but there aren't a whole lot of jobs in that field. Sorry, I forget that not everyone is an engineering student.
  13. ^Give it another few years and your education won't matter until GRAD SCHOOL not COLLEGE.
  14. From Wikipedia.org: Total enrollment (system-wide): OSU - 59,091 UC - 34,364 UK - 27,208 MU - 20,505
  15. I was thinking the same thing. Is OSU the biggest unversity in the country? I was thinking the same thing. Is OSU the biggest unversity in the country? There are a number of schools that seem to be in the running for it every year, and I think it changes pretty often. For now, OSU is the largest in the nation.
  16. Shouldn't they divide the # of merit-scholars by the total enrollment? This list seems to favor big schools over small ones.

A widespread urban legend states that one out of every five miles of the Interstate Highway System must be built straight and flat so as to be usable by aircraft during times of war; this is not true. http://www.tfhrc.gov/pubrds/mayjun00/onemileinfive.htm EDIT: The one problem I do see with the map is that I-75 doesn't end where it should. It goes on to Miami, FL.

Damn, I wish Top Gear was actually broadcast here in the states. (It might be on something, but I can't get it with what I have.) The Veyron vs. the plane was a great episode. Yeah, it looks like the owner was previously provoked.
  21. ^Indeed. Hopefully next year it will be an entertaining game.
  22. Did you mean 'beaten' instead of 'been'? If so: Indy did. And the Bengals could have too.
  23. Perhaps it's not exclusive, but I have been told that nuns retire there. And like I said, I don't know for sure, but I've heard that. EDIT: I can't find any information online to support this, so forget I ever said it. Just a retirement home, no nuns involved.
  24. It is a retirement home, but I believe it is only for nuns. I don't know for sure, but I've heard it before. I'm, sure it is still in use though.
