It's a pano stitched from 9 photos. Six taken from the west facing side, 3 from the east facing side. Autostitch did most of the work, but I had to stitch the two sides together myself, which is why there is a visible line in the river. If I go back to STL again (not too likely) I will replicate this, hopefully with better results.

I'm cheating a bit on this one (this is the submission for tomorrow). St. Louis and East St. Louis (Not that anyone wants to see ESL) from the top of the arch. (If only the windows were clean, and the haze was much less obvious.) (And this would be so much cooler if both the reverfronts were developed, more like Cincy.) I couldn't decide if this would be better presented vertically or horizontally. Weigh in if you want to.

The seagulls are gone...

When I rode the subway in NYC, there was someone on every car that was trying to get donations for a "worthy cause." I was surprised they could actually move through the crowd. Aparently it works, because they were all over. I don't remember seeing any homeless on the subway in NYC, but it was summer.

Yeah, I was on the left side of the plane, just ahead of the wing. I don't remember what type of plane it was, large but not a 747. Unfortunately, the windows were incredibly dirty on the plane, or else the pictures would have been amazing.

I was told that a digital camera is considered a portable electronic device and therefore cannot be used below 10,000 feet. Is this correct or just BS? I used mine to take pictures of downtown Cincy when returning from NYC. The plane didn't crash.

Second season of Scrubs: JD: You know know Turk always says "Hey playa" when he means hey buddy. Elliot: Yeah JD: Well, Jamie's from Cincinnati, and in Cincinnati they say "Hey slut." Elliot: Oh, neat!

The kicker is just fine. he lost the game and laughed about it? not fine. yes i realize overall the kicking game is least of the bengals issues, but he was goat of the game. and who knows? it just might be rigged. ugh. He didn't lose the game. It is a team effort. He didn't end the season. It was a team effort. Getting to the playoffs is a season long effort. We just didn't have it together enough games this season to deserve the playoffs. Laughing in a situation like that can be taken as disbelief. I don't think he was happy he missed. Graham did an amazing job this season. We are lucky to have him. No one is perfect, but he is pretty damn good.

Excellent pictures! Where did you take the first picture from? The angle doesn't look right for Mt. Echo, even though it is obviously taken from the west/south west.

My Christmas "presents" were a MacBookPro and a Canon 28-135 IS lens, both of which I purchased myself. I got a camera case for the Rebel, some new bags for the cornhole set, and some cold hard cash. :-)
