Someone got to me on SSP after I posted on threads about Cincinnati. I forget who it was though.

Cincinnati: Historic Photos
My vote goes to Price Hill or Covedale. These even resemble a subdivision off of Muddy Creek near Our Lady of Lourdes.

Cincinnati Brewery / Beer / Alcohol News
Grasscat: did you ever get a response from the Montgomery Inn people? I was in the Boathouse last week (First time I had ever been inside a Montgomery Inn restaurant, always got carryout) and noticed that they had Christian Moerlein on tap. Did they just add it or have they always had it on tap?

Cincinnati: Big Mac Bridge
I find it strange that Kentucky goes out and paints two bridges very vibrant colors, and then wants to paint the suspension bridge a dark brown. I wish they would leave it at blue. Anyways, was the new paint a different color from the old color? I just figured it was the same, and that last coat had faded to that very flat yellow.

Cincinnati: Columbia Tusculum: Columbia Square
I havn't been out to that intersection in a while, so I may be wrong here. Isn't there a retaining wall on that property? I thought that the Columbia Parkway retaining wall ended at or very near to that intersection.

Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Projects & News
I'm not too sure how much of an effect these are going to have on the number of accidents. I know from experience that the sun is the real cause of most of these accidents, especially earlier in the morning. My one and only experience with these meters was in Chicago. I was on some onramp a little north of the city, there was no one one the expressway, and had to stop. Thirty seconds or so later, a mass of cars came rolling down the freeway; I finally get a green light. Let's just say I had to use all the power the Northstar could give me to merge. I am not a fan of these things.

- Ohio's "Grande Dame" skyscrapers
I think the "PNC" branded tower fits in better with the other two. The Carew Tower is just a differnet style, even if it is grander.- Columbus: Downtown: Grant Hospital Redevelopments

Wow, very nice pictures of a very nice area.- Cincinnati: Population Trends
Damn, that was fast.- Cincinnati: Population Trends
Grasscat, I live on Cleves Warsaw around the Wester Hills Country Club. The specific development I was talking to is the 74-275 interchange, the 74-Harrison interchange and the surrounding areas. It seems that everywhere you look there is a new subdivision or a new apartment building going up around there. Although, I guess it helps that a Meijer, Kohls and a bunch of other big chain stores just opened in that immediate area. I remember seeing something from ssp.com that said the city had extended sewers into that area, so that may also have effected the development as well.- Cincinnati: Population Trends
I live in Hamilton County. On the West side even. And I am very surprised to see that the county is losing population. There are so many new homes being built just west of me that I can't even fathom a population loss from this part of the county. The housing stock is very good over in the western side of the county as well as the eastern side. I think the real pop. loss comes from the city itself, places like Price Hill and OTR are the most likely areas to suffer a population loss, but I am just speculating.- Cincinnati: Historic Photos
One can only imagine how much the Carew Tower and the PNC building dominated the skyline in the 1930's. - Ohio's "Grande Dame" skyscrapers
