  1. Ironically, I saw some traffic on site during my commute this week. Hope to see it wrapped up before summer.
  2. Gotta ask… what happened to the souder pedestrian bridge project? Funding run dry? Seems bizarre for the project to come to a complete halt after announcing a targeted July opening.
  3. They were - but not anymore. Curious if the Fishinger road project is causing the inactivity as the main site entrance is fed from Fishinger.
  4. The Golden Bear site has been inactive for quite some time now after some initial site prep work. It was quite a sudden stoppage - likely around early May based on my commute. Wondering what the hold up could be but don't want to purely speculate on anything.
  5. The dark colored metal exterior cladding on Arlington gateway building looks very bad. I was driving east on Lane during the late afternoon today and the sun was catching the upper northwest facing corner - I couldn’t grab a photo due to driving but the metal is wavy and generally looks terrible.
  6. So the cell tower is… staying? Going? Cannot wait to see.
  7. The 670-facing facade of that garage is still not adhering to what was approved. Although I dont care much for ad space, it would look better than what we currently have. It’s a shame that NRI will get away with that. EDIT: I guess the signage was not approved but due to be reviewed at a future commission meeting. Curious if this is still a potential or if we are just left to deal with a half-brick half-concrete facade. It needs some sort of treatment in my opinion.
  8. Really hopeful for an impactful lighting treatment to highlight this building. Had similar hope for the Hilton (at least the crown) and was let down greatly.
  9. Definitely giving Wynn/Encore vibes albeit with the “stripes” running vertically
  10. Genuine question.. is that E/W rail line between Grandview crossing and Goodale active? I do not recall ever being stopped by a train on Grandview ave when I’ve been in the area.
  11. Remind me - is the ground level of this building retail/tenant space?
  12. It’s a real shame the Eastern wall is completely free of windows..
  13. I wish that BEACON sign was activated at night. That would pair really well with the (currently on hold) Merchant Building signage proposal.
  14. Children’s certainly does not skimp on build quality/materials
  15. For what appears to be curtain wall construction, that office building is moving at a snails pace.
  16. If the grocer ends up being announced as TJ’s, watch how quickly the folks at Parks Edge Condos will have that pedestrian bridge built from North Bank to Vets Memorial ;)
  17. Love it! Wish the office building wasn't essentially a twin of the original with added balcony space. Looking forward to seeing final designs and hearing which grocer was selected. Going to guess its a Market District similar to what is in Bexley.
  18. Demolition has begun (at least internally) at the 1350 W 5th Office Building. I believe the building was fully vacated at the beginning of August. Won’t be long till the building starts coming down.
  19. Checked again this morning, there are still 2 but the southern most crane on the 315-facing side seems to be on its way down as well.
  20. Since the first tower was built they have introduced two new master facilities plans. With each, the materials for facades have changed a bit. I am wondering if this will be an exact replica in terms of materials when compared to the original tower or will it vary slightly to match the newer look that they have been going with since ~2015
  21. I believe they are down to one final crane
  22. **NOT an update on the 3rd street surface lots** the tower lighting (crown lighting and other exterior lighting) snob in me noticed the Rhodes building now has programmable LED crown lighting. Looks really nice on an otherwise drab building and is set up in red white and blue for the 4th of July.
  23. Feel bad for anyone who rents the apartments at track-height. I used to live in the area and one of the two tracks begins to turn eastward which causes incredibly loud screeching as the train slowly navigates the junction.
