  1. Given what we know about Sherwin-Williams HQ possible design, and since I think most all of us are in agreement we’d like for the campus to incorporate multiple colors, I hope Pickard Chilton and SW will draw some inspiration from Saffron Square in Croydon, UK.
  2. Love Art Deco, love the idea of these designs ending up on Public Square. But to anyone who thinks that’s what Sherwin-Williams new HQ will look like I got magic beans for sale.
  3. Any chance this expansion could kick start development of Bedrock’s riverfront? Gilbert obviously has a huge interest in both.
  4. ^You ain’t kidding. This had to be the city’s most embarrassing eye sore prior to this rehab. The building itself is obviously not the prettiest, but what a great job they did here.
  5. Progress as of 01/10/21. Disclaimer: Wife took passenger seat photos and added the obvious filter on one photo. Coming along nice though! Unrelated endorsement, Avo Modern Mexican across the street is delicious and the service was fantastic during their soft launch!
  6. That’s good news, I much prefer the design posted in the NEOTrans article. Shame on me for thinking Akara would have updated images on their website 😂
  7. Not sure how that works as a measure here when it’s a National Park that separates the Cleveland and Akron Metros.
  8. Two Cleveland giants making acquisitions. TransDigm completes most of large UK acquisition https://www.crainscleveland.com/manufacturing/transdigm-completes-most-large-uk-acquisition Acquisition grows Applied Industrial's automation offerings https://www.crainscleveland.com/manufacturing/acquisition-grows-applied-industrials-automation-offerings
  9. I heard a good take that Stefanski was playing it close to the vest as to not tip his hand (taken with a grain of salt considering the Browns had to win to be in). Big Ben is a HOF QB, but he lacks the arm strength and elusiveness he once possessed. Having said that if Denzel can’t go it’s going to be a challenge. All things considered, I would of signed up for this season 100x out of 100 if offered in the preseason , we’re 11-5 and in the playoffs. We haven’t been able to say that since 1994. Good things ahead, go Browns!
  10. @KJP Do you get the sense that projects which are close to shovel ready, such as City Club Apartments or Circle Square in Cleveland, might now be delayed while they seek these incentives?
  11. @tastybunnsLots of videos shared in the Opportunity Corridor thread here. TacoSlayer does a good job.
  12. Pickard Chilton looking at Ian’s renderings like
  13. Cool video. I knew this was going up fast, but will it really be complete by Spring of next year??
  14. No, the Baker Building (forfeiting a previously allocated 1.7m credit for a 2.0m one). The article only references existing buildings that are receiving historic tax credits. Still exciting though!
  15. 9th and Bolivar. Build it and they will come :)
  16. The units are definitely lit, I see more and more lights on week to week. But the Lumen does lack distinctive lighting like the Beacon has with it’s two bright horizontal stripes. I would guess decorative lighting can be done on the Lumen at it’s crown, maybe we’ll see that in time.

  18. Saw this opportunity to invest in Cleveland Whiskey from Crain’s with a nice little ROI in the form of cash or whiskey. https://www.crainscleveland.com/manufacturing/cleveland-whiskey-now-selling-whiskey-bonds-support-flats-expansion-project https://wefunder.com/clevelandwhiskey/about
  19. I think they’ll get by with a more modest arena though. Of the major concerts I’ve seen at Wolstein (Avenged Sevenfold, Miranda Lambert - don’t judge my taste in music 😂), the arena was still half full. An arena that can seat 6,500 can easily accommodate 8,000 for a concert.
  20. The Baker trashing didn’t age well
  21. Baker is still the best the Browns have had at QB since ‘99. While there’s a lot of things he needs to tighten up, I think he can and will improve.
