Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
Anxiously awaiting Mr. Leonhardt’s decision. “I’m looking for a new headquarters,” Leonhardt says. “Brecksville has been great, allowing me to park across the street. So we’re looking at maybe building across the street on the VA site or doing something between Superior and Payne. The idea is to figure out which one’s going to work out best long term. But we plan on developing the Superior and Payne property. It’s either going to be our new headquarters or some type of housing.” http://www.sbnonline.com/article/ronald-j-leonhardt-jr-has-crosscountry-mortgage-poised-for-greatness/

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere. Also not sure if we already have something similar to this downtown. If not it’s long overdue. https://www.cleveland.com/business/2019/12/global-coworking-company-spaces-set-to-anchor-warehouse-districts-western-reserve-building.html

This is the only plan I’m aware of, but construction idled for a while. I haven’t seen anything that shows it’ll be different than this though.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
If CityBlock is going forward as indicated by Bernie Moreno there are undoubtedly deep pockets involved. This wouldn’t be built in the hopes that if you build it they will come.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I feel like retaining a growing Fortune 200 company is the easy answer.. so the thing I’m most thankful for in Cleveland is Bernie Moreno and the other like minded entrepreneurs who’re contributing to the #4 fastest growing tech labor pool in the U.S.

Cleveland: East Side Neighborhood Development
St. Luke’s is now a senior community of apartments, and I believe a few offices and a school. It’s a beautiful building that I was happy they salvaged, rehabbed and repurposed. Would of been a shame to lose it altogether, I could be wrong but believe it was at a time slated for demolition. Side note it reminds me of Professor Xavier’s School for the Gifted. Full disclosure, I’m a bit of a comic nerd.

The new construction is in the area highlighted red. For additional context E 110 turns into MLK at about Shale, and intersects Shaker Blvd (SR 87) on this map.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
- Cleveland: East Side Neighborhood Development
Correct.- Cleveland: East Side Neighborhood Development
Foundations for new residential in Buckeye-Woodhill neighborhood across from St. Luke’s and on E 110th south of Woodland.- Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
My thought is the jokes of Cleveland having a crime problem arise when a 60-story Justice Center is necessary. Realistically though, the appearance of the building will have no tangible effect on the administration of justice for the victims of crime and those awaiting their fate. I just hope for something beautiful and transformational without excessive frill at the expense of the taxpayer.- Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Hard pass. The nauseating Darcy cartoons, in a city where the tallest skyscraper is the Justice Center, are enough reason to not build that tall.- The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
