That’s likely a lot of young families putting down roots with some young professionals mixed in.

Is the plan to consolidate ALL of those jobs and functions at the new HQ? If so, that’s fantastic. Just more moving parts than I originally thought.

Seems to me this will be a key piece of infrastructure. Definitely should give Cleveland a leg up in business retention and attraction.

And that’s just downtown. It’s really impressive when you consider all of the development in UC (especially One University Circle) and MidTown (especially 3101 Euclid - unsure of the est. completion of this though).

Some one already mentioned this.. but I would love for a new JC to be built where The Pit is. I would think a garage could be built at the base similar to Willard Garage.. then open the garage to the public on weekends, holidays and special events as a source of revenue. It would almost certainly increase waterfront line ridership as well.

To caveat, although unrelated to the Justice Center, if City Block is the success I anticipate it will be, 900’ towers are a real possibility over the coming decades.

I agree that Downtown Cleveland will look far different in 15 years than today, however, a courts tower in the 900’ - 1,100’ range isn’t going to happen. If all the local municipal jails consolidate into one building downtown, my guess is the tower could approach 500’. I’m by no means an expert here, but 900 feet is just not realistic.

Might be a good problem to have. I recall @KJP suggesting downtown Cleveland could accommodate 20 Lumen sized residential buildings over the next 10-15 years. There’s definitely room to build on downtown’s eastern edge.

I love getting on 90w from the Innerbelt and seeing the Beacon in my rear view mirror. The almost digital look of it is something I’d expect to see in New York or Chicago (although in one of those cities it would be 2 or 3x taller).
