It’s all hands on deck to retain SHW and they’ll be incentivized to stay like nobody’s business. I side with those who say if SHW decides to leave it’s on them. My gut tells me if they planned to leave Cleveland they wouldn’t string us along. It could just be they’re being thorough in their search. You could reveal elements of your source without tying anything to you or them. Do they work at SHW, work in real estate, work in government?

Man, that’s terrific news, but definitely the news we’ve been burnt by before. Are you able to hint at who’s backing this? Public/private partnership I hope.

Spot on. Would like to see rail go south of the inner belt as well. Really fill out that empty land and that large Progressive Field employee lot at e 14th and Broadway.

I’ll reserve judgement on the buildings accents until completion. I guess this is a good problem to have though if this is our debate. At least the tower portion of the Lumen could rise on Miami Beach or the Vegas Strip and no one would bat an eye.

Sooo, I don’t come to UO to debate politics. The option is there and I’d rather not. However, I feel with politicians there’s always going to be a peacock show of “what’s in it for my constituents” that seems to hamper these type of developments. The resistance is part of the political show and what’s feasible will still come to fruition.

It’s been five years since this project was announced. Frankly, I’m burnt out.

What a transformational project this will be for Cleveland.
