  1. I'm not sure pre-sale requirements could be met to close on the loan given the current interest rates.
  2. Curious how they're Detroit, Indy and Cincy locations perform. They're also downtown. I'll be honest, I didn't know the CLE location existed, and I like to golf.

  5. An acquisition doesn't appear to be likely at this point. Not an insider, just based on what I've read and seen. But why would they move out of 200 PS anyhow if it happened? The building is riddled with vacancy, plenty of space. And I would think given the state of the buildings vacancy, and the downtown office market, Cliffs would have a lot of leverage in negotiations with the landlord. Just my thoughts! and I'm sure as heck not an insider!

  8. I'm not sure a large company wants to be that far away from a population center. Shalersville really dosent offer the labor pool or amenities in near proximity that New Albany or Grove City does. Land around Medina, North Ridgeville or Aurora would probably be enticing for large companies.

  11. I noticed that also. Looks like some sort of vapor barrier. I also noticed the 55 gallon drums on the right-hand side. I assume those are used for potentially hazardous soils materials.
  12. Just curious if those numbers apply for total employment? The report states that 300k SMB were surveyed. If that's the case I would assume this only applies to small and medium sized companies.
  13. I didn't even realize there were shops there ๐Ÿ˜‚! I couldn't imagine very well. However despite how close Voinovich Park is to the RRHOF and GLSC, its presently miles away (hopefully that changes in the coming years). Your catching the tourists as they walk out of the museums, and not trying to lure them down there. I'd start in between the RRHOF and GLSC, and then see if the strip could spread down to Voinovich Park. Just seems to make the most sense.
  14. IMHO, a narrow string of "gimmicky" shops between the Rock Hall and the Science Center would do well here, and create more pedestrian activity. Also, would give people more of a "make a day of it" experience. Tourists love that stuff too.

    It's funny, how in the 80s and 90s, the future was all about how we would transport ourselves. Flying cars, hoverboards, even time machines. There was no focus on communication/social connectivity, which is where it went. My thought is the future entails further development in battery technology which will have an effect on so many things we do. Home appliance, curling irons, hair dryers etc without plugs. And much bigger things eventually too.

  20. Right, it somewhat makes me believe that the Erieview project was a success with regard to redeveloping the area. And really, in the grand scheme of things, the Galleria which opened in the mid 80s was only 20 years after Erieview opened, and only a few to 10 years after the rest of the Highrise office and residential. One would think it should've been a huge success with all the life infused in the area. Unfortunately the demise of the Galleria probably set this area, and the retail scene in Cleveland, back.

  22. I would definately settle for low density development versus waiting 15 years for mid and high rises. And that's in any master planning area. If the demand warrants high rise development at some point, then the low density can be demolished to make way for it. Isn't that the way cities developed anyhow? I feel the same way about the remainder of Scranton Peninsula.

  24. I just listened to Chris Ronayne speak about this the other day. For some reason I thought he mentioned the investor was Sweedish, but I could be wrong. I seems to feel they're very committed.
  25. It's amazing how much area there still is on the East-end of the property that could be developed. I really hope that isn't held by SW for a potential Ph2. In this office market climate, I could only imagine that wouldn't materialize anytime soon.
