  1. Was there ever any sort of update on the future of this?
  2. Crane is up now. Was in the car with friends and couldn't grab a picture. I live a few blocks south of the hospital now and can grab one soon if nobody else does.
  3. OSU restarts 2 construction projects that it paused due to Covid-19's economic effect The two restarted projects are the Department of Theatre’s new building, which is part of the $162 million Arts District, as well as a revamped Controlled Environment Food Production Research Complex, which has had fits and starts over the last few years. ... Restarting those two projects could be a sign that the university is recovering slightly from Covid-19. https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2020/11/20/covid-osu-construction-projects.html?cx_testId=40&cx_testVariant=cx_10&cx_artPos=0#cxrecs_s
  4. Jman approved of the project in the comments. That's all that really matters, right?
  5. Business First had a comment about this: This next phase will straighten the northern end of Cannon and build a levee between the road and the Olentangy River for 500-year flood protection. It also expands parkland into the river, which runs narrower and deeper since a dam removal downstream. ... University officials earlier had estimated the second phase would cost $120 million. The new plan scales it back, a spokesman said. The project no longer will include a new connector street along the south side of the stadium, and adds the levee instead of raising the Cannon roadbed. https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2020/11/17/ohio-state-to-ok-cannon-drive-phase-2.html
  6. Which one is the Edwards proposal on West Broad?
  7. CoverMyMeds campus being a short walk from here should definitely help, right? Hopefully we see a flurry of activity as they move in.
  8. Block G appears to be getting started. Here's a shot with the Block F hotel in the background.
  9. Was there ever anything announced for the site east of Kenny across from the Innovation District? I don't recall, but drove by today and the site is fenced off and there is work going on.
  10. More starting to peak out above High St.
  11. That whole area is about to explode over the next several years with the next phase of River and Rich, Gravity 2.0, Mt. Carmel redevelopment, and The Peninsula all going up simultaneously.
  12. These people: We are not opposed to development. Also these people: Our objections and concerns are as follows: Height - Current height zoning calls for no more than 35 feet. Any variance to increase height above 35 feet should not be approved. Density - Current beginning of the highest density category (Mixed Use 3) call for 45 dwelling units per acre. Any variance which would allow an increase in the number of dwelling units per acre above 45 (105 in total) should not be approved.
  13. The new hospital tower alone was reported to be creating 1800 new jobs plus construction jobs. Add in the Innovation District, other medical buildings, and all of the other various projects, and you're looking at thousands over the next 5-10 years. Many of these are going to be very high paying jobs.
  14. Kaufman really needs to respect my impatience more and give EXACT dates!
  15. They're demolishing the building at the south side of the Goodale and Yard intersection today.
  16. Yea, the crew were on national TV on Sunday and they gave a pretty nice shout out to the new stadium and this 3D seat viewer.
  17. Weren't you going to slide into Kaufman's DMs on Instagram? Get on that lol
  18. Man, I really hope Gravity 2.0 starts soon. This would be an awesome view of both.
  19. Nationwide Children's to begin $74M gene therapy affiliate lab construction in November Nationwide Children's Hospital plans to break ground next month on its $74 million gene therapy manufacturing affiliate on Ohio State University's west campus. Andelyn Biosciences Inc., a commercial-scale biotechnology manufacturing facility for genetic material used in research and clinical trials, eventually would employ more than 200 – with salaries from $69,000 to $280,000 yearly – on 8 acres at Lane Avenue and Carmack Road. Until the 85,000-square-foot facility is completed in mid-2022, the for-profit affiliate is leasing space inside the Columbus hospital's Wexner Research Institute. 20. I don't have an answer to your question, but I took a little detour when heading home yesterday to check it out. They also cleared the lot just across Souder to the west.
  21. I was actually living right by there on the corner of Hubbard and Neil when this started. I was really surprised when it started and popped out of nowhere. I didn't even consider it an interesting thing to post here. I apologize for my failure lol. There was actually another similar, but smaller(I think just a duplex), infill project going on a few blocks north on Neil as well on another empty bit of land. That one is probably finished now. I no longer live right there, though.
  22. Yea, honestly, they should just take the mesh thing off because it looks ridiculous. It would be better off without it.
