  1. BrewDog closes in Cincinnati but says Cleveland remains a growth markethttps://www.crainscleveland.com/restaurants/brewdog-shutters-cincinnati-location-remains-bullish-ohio-cleveland I love going to BrewDog - glad they're sticking around and saying their outpost here is their largest opportunity for growth. It's an prime location that's only getting better with the hundreds of new apartments on the way
  2. From Saturday (6/14), you can now drive into the main public plaza area in Valor Acres, so I thought I’d grab a few photos of the buildings going up and the landscaping being put in. Don’t recommend going through if there are active workers just to be respectful - it happened to be an off day. It’s quite substantial in scale when you’re actually on the site! Looking NW towards Sherwin-Williams Looking S towards Miller Rd Looking E towards the DiGeronimo/Flour restaurant/office building Looking NE towards the plaza/main kiosk Looking W towards the two mixed-use buildings (left), parking garage (right)
  3. Yeah if it happened last night it looks like they've already unstuck it based on the live webcam. Hopefully there wasn't too much damage to the boardwalk!
  4. $100 milllion "major economic project" moves forward in Seven HillsclevelandSeven Hills Rockside Road project takes another step forwardWhen talking about the development of roughly 50 acres along the southside of Rockside Road, Seven Hills Mayor Anthony D. Biasiotta has always been cautiously optimistic.A more than 60,000-square-foot Cleveland rehabilitation hospital with four out lots (retail, commercial, office) located on six acres directly south of Rockside Road, as well as a residential component with single-family homes and townhouses on the southern portion of the property are close to coming to fruition. "There’s nothing left to happen from a governmental or city standpoint, other than issuing of permits in accordance with our current laws.”
  5. We're gettin' off-topic y'all To bring it back - I'm hoping there's a decent residential portion to whatever this gateway project ends up becoming - maybe that's what the second phase on the north half of the parcel will be? All of the current and proposed COSM locations (which are both in the suburbs and in city centers), seem to be adjacent to a new substantial residential build. A mid or high-rise residential building fronting Prospect would look really nice up against E 4th

  8. Woah woah woah this came out of nowhere: Broker envisions mid-rise residential tower in University Circlehttps://www.crainscleveland.com/real-estate/apartment-tower-pitched-clevelands-university-circle (Note: AI-conceptual rendering from the article, has no basis in actual location) TL;DR: Rico Pietro, commercial real estate broker and principal with Cushman & Wakefield | CRESCO Real Estate, wants to develop an eight-story building in University Circle with up to 300 apartments, a potentially $100 mil project. Pietro already owns the site, which currently is the home of Midwest Medical Transport at 10617 Cedar Ave (across the street from Skyline at Stokes) Pietro said that while he’s open to a sale, he wants to develop it instead He's serious about developing it and already has started working with Geis “We’ve spent a lot of time and a lot of money figuring out what you could build with 80% of developers for this site,” Pietro said. “A mid-rise building is the just-right approach. It’s a project that’s affordable to build, is easy to underwrite, and it’s a project that will have the absorption a developer needs.” Pietro is starting by finding potential development partners, investors and continuing to plan the project. He also wants to give his tenant time to plan, but to be ready when their current lease ends in five years.
  9. A COSM would be great! It certainly fits the area and the size of the first building of the development... I will say though: "a smaller version of Hudson Yards in Detroit" is nothing to scoff at, even if it is the less substantiated of the rumors. That's a nearly 700' building right they've got there in motor city
  10. I guess it's a go then? I can't tell though if the article is a reprint of previous/already known Port of Cleveland financing info or if they actually received approval from the city. The article is very vague: clevelandBridgeworks project in Ohio City to begin construction wi...The $82.5 million mixed-use development will feature 219 apartments and retail space near Detroit-Superior Bridge.
  11. If the team continues to get worse, I wouldn't be surprised lmao 😜
  12. I read it as NOACA is simply not taking a side in the stadium debacle. They state in their letter they support improvements to road infrastructure in the region. What they do or do not support either way (in the interest of neutrality I reckon), is the end goal for making those improvements. Regardless of how you look at it, it's a sizeable proposed development project, and NOACA is one of the regional entities that is tasked with supporting these kinds of things I believe, alongside the local ODOT district office (12).
  13. If anyone is interested, this PDF of the City of Brook Park's 2025 ODOT TRAC application for $70 million of public infrastructure improvements is a trove of information: https://dam.assets.ohio.gov/image/upload/transportation.ohio.gov/trac/2025apps/D12_02_CUYSR2912.90BrookPark.pdf It is mostly letters of support, but in the interest of transparency here's the list for those who are interested: TL;DR (with page # references) 16 - Project summary and list of benefits 17 - Full diagram schematic plan of the proposed roadway improvements 26 - HSG will provide $11.3 million in up-front funding for roadway improvements 27 - Blue Abyss letter of support 29 - Affiliated Construction Trades Ohio Foundation (ACT Ohio) letter of support 33 - ODOT received the TRAC application on May 22, 2025 37 - Ford Motor Company letter of support 38 - GCP letter of support 42 - HSG letter of support 46 - City of Berea letter of support 48 - City of Brook Park letter of support 50 - NAIOP letter of support 52 - NFL letter of support 54 - NOACA letter of acknowledgement 55 - Ohio Chamber of Commerce letter of support 57-68 - State/US representatives and senators letters of support 69 - Estimated construction costs breakdown

  19. This could be an interesting development: clevelandStretch of Cuyahoga River given national trail designationThe Cuyahoga River is both a scenic and working river with access points for the public to experience it.This new designation will help promote the 41-mile segment from Gorge Dam in Summit County all the way to the mouth of the Cuyahoga in downtown Cleveland. Most notably: Maybe I'm misinterpreting but it sounds like future riverfront development could potentially tap into these federal grants then?
  20. Putting my sleuthing cap on cuz I'm bored lol In my endless search through ODOT public documentation, hopefully this information helps clear things up somewhat in terms of timing of the trail/riverwalk portion of the ITB project: Exhibit A: NOACA's website lists the Franklin Blvd Enhancement as one of their Q3 2025 planning/funding goals. Exhibit B: The website then goes on to state that the Franklin Blvd improvements will take place alongside the construction of the Lake Link riverwalk/trail connecting the pieces of the Centennial Trail. It gives an ODOT PID number for the Lake Link project Exhibit C: Looking up PID CUY-89034 gives a timeline on the construction of the trail/riverwalk portion of the ITB project. To summarize, they are currently in the final engineering plans stage of the project, which is technically a separate project to the rest of the park improvements. Construction on the riverwalk/trail portion of ITB is therefore expected to start probably in April/May of 2026 to be complete by EOY 2026 (~8mo). Note: while construction on the trail is projected to end in November 2026, Q2 2027 is listed as another estimated completion date. This would line up with the most recent cleveland.com article. Exhibit D: A NOACA map shows what portions of ITB are included in the Lake Link Trail project in red. It will be designed and constructed with future connections to ITB trails, etc. already in-place In summary, the Lake Link/riverwalk and Franklin Blvd portions of ITB will be the first to be completed, and both likely completed concurrently by the end of 2026/beginning 2027. Everything else (yellow) will most likely be temporarily seeded (as we are seeing now) until the rest of the improvements are a go for construction. Side Exhibit: I believe these concrete structures circled in pink are Item 11 above (Coal Dock Remnant) (image from MayDay)
  21. Is the 45 West project by them also under way down the street? I kind of forgot about these two developments...

  23. Went to Pride again this year and had an amazing time as always - big shoutout to the LGBT Community Center for putting on another great festival! After seeing that they estimated about 25-30k attendees for this year's festival, I was a little surprised and honestly a bit sad after researching that attendance is a lot lower than other festivals around the country, even ones in similar-sized cities. Granted, the festival has been growing significantly over the past couple of years which is awesome, but still... Is the reason for this simply that the festival has only been going on for *only 10 years this year, or is it something else? Curious if anyone in the know has any thoughts/analysis... Regardless, I always have an amazing time but I can't help but wonder why it isn't bigger and better 🌈 Can't wait to go again next year 🤩
  24. Just a little update that the rails on the eastbound-running side (south side) of the Van Aken platform have been removed for platform relocation and minor earthwork is underway around where the new station building will be is also visible (06/07): Also, notice: the Blue/Green line E 79th station officially closes tomorrow for 12-14 months for construction of the new station!!
  25. Well folks, I think I've discovered the new name for "Silverhills"? Triton (at The Flats)
