  5. Thanks @KJP for the update. If this was the "bummer" news alluded to, this is tame by 2025 standards lol. While "value-engineering" doesn't have a good track record as of late, given the accomplishments of the developers so far with Circle Square I'm gonna hold out hope that this is a lil hiccup
  6. It was - but it was mostly an acknowledgement that "half of our comments mention CVSR". City planning staff brought it up in their summary - my assumption from the manner in which it was brought up was that it's something they're still trying to pursue but they didn't mention any detailed action steps to do so.
  7. Haha yeah I would've done the same thing 🤗 It was heartening to hear though that they're still advancing the memorial loop, they'll be back soon regarding roadway infrastructure and more public realm improvements around the Cavs facility, and also that the Bedrock team is working in conjunction with Merritt Chase on coordinating connections with Canal Basin Park. We love to see good coordination (common sense tbh)

  13. https://www.crainscleveland.com/politics-policy/matt-dolan-named-new-ceo-team-neo Former Ohio legislator Matt Dolan named CEO of Team NEO I don't know much abt Dolan personally but seems like a good deal for Team NEO? "Dolan stressed his plan to enhance regional collaboration, underscoring the importance of having a unified voice on business development." "Intends to use his bipartisan relationships to increase visibility and engagement with local and state officials, making sure everyone understands what Team NEO is trying to accomplish and the value of those accomplishments." "Dolan begins the new position immediately." "As CEO, Dolan said he plans to use his relationships locally and from Columbus to engage the region’s business groups and chambers of commerce and use social media 'so that Team NEO becomes part of the nomenclature of business development in Northeast Ohio.'" https://www.cleveland.com/news/2025/02/team-neo-names-matt-dolan-new-ceo.html

  15. 🚨FINAL APPROVAL 🚨 While I hope there are shiny new renderings I wouldn't be surprised if it's just finalizing the scope and stages tbh but we'll see
  16. And that's why I'm hoping that the new trains will have this capability. I checked Calgary Transit on the Transit app (similar vehicles to what we're getting) and you can see where every train is on the line so fingers crossed 🤞
  17. Thanks @KJP! Yes extending even further to the business hotspots on the east side makes total sense. I figured the JCU proposal was a good "Phase 1" extension haha
  18. Cross-posted from Rando Dev to continue discussion on the proposal
  19. Hey everyone, just wanted to announce a secret lil project I've been working on the past three months, which hopefully explains why I haven't made as many renderings as of late: I've always been interested in taking the renderings I've done on the forum to a wider audience. Listening to y'alls ideas and support and working with NeoTrans for example has been a huge motivator in continuing that. While I'm not as adept and well-connected for news media, instead I've started what I can simply describe as an collaborative/advocacy/not-for-profit passion project called Methodicle, where I can take community suggestions on transformative projects/ideas, visualize them, and promote them on social media. The goal is that if just a few of the great ideas we come up with here can get shared to the wider region, important people might take notice - and maybe change will happen. Case-in-point: I launched Methodicle's Bluesky account yesterday, and within the day, Downtown Cleveland, Inc. followed! So I reckon it's off to a good start 🤩 Anyways, the inaugural project has been a great TOD collaboration with @sonisharri here on the forum. This specific one is the RTA Green Line Extension to John Carroll University, which they initially drew up in the RTA thread and served as the basis for this concept. If you want you can check out methodicle.com when you have a chance to see the full proposal and renderings, but I'll post a lil taste here 🤗 I would feel bad if this came across as overindulgent self-promotion on the forum so from here on out I'll just post links and renderings to the proposals as I release them. Otherwise I won't promote the site or ask for social media clout lol. All I'll say is that if you like these ideas and want these projects to get more attention then the best way to do that would simply be sharing them on social media and getting the word out. Grassroots advocacy!!! Project #2 is already in the works while I start gathering more ideas and the point is to entertain ideas from y'all, so feel free to DM me on the forum with ideas or use the form on the website to submit a proposal. I'll cross-post this in the RTA thread but felt this was the best general chat to announce the project. Sorry for the big blurb, and thanks y'all!!! I'm excited to hear what you think (Edit: I do not know how to cross-post lmao)
  20. Is there a sell the team movement in the works or do we need to start one... 😆
  21. https://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/2025/02/construction-on-multi-million-dollar-west-side-market-transformation-set-to-begin-this-summer.html Construction on massive West Side Market transformation set to begin this summer Happy and thankful the restructuring of ownership and efforts to get the market updates funded and underway seems to be going well so far.
  22. Let's go Dan, get 'er done! 🤩🥳
  23. Unfortunately this might be a case of the riverfront development residential/entertainment portion needs to be built before any hope for well-patronized businesses and a "pulse" in Tower City. That's my hope at least.
  24. Wow Marriott seems to be on a spree here. I think within the past month there's been coverage of three new hotels from them: W Hotel (Erieview/Downtown) Tribute Hotel (Berea) AC Hotel (Euclid/Downtown)
