  1. In the 1920 census, Little Italy (census tract R-8) had a population of 8,003. According to a CSU study, Little Italy had a 2010 population of 2,081. Can somebody going to the BZA meeting tell the NIMBYs that we need to restore Little Italy's historic character by bringing back density?
  2. It's so great to see so many people coming together here to support local!
  3. I've checked every public record I can even think of and still no luck finding anything notable. And the corporation is unfortunately not listed by the Ohio SOS
  4. Apartments, correct. As a complex with the two buildings it's next to on Euclid. https://www.apartments.com/euclid3-apartments-cleveland-oh/z5r7d9x/
  5. Their original plan has always confused me about how anyone thought that looked good.
  6. For the past year after year, CWRU's freshman classes have been their biggest ever. They are already extremely strained with a lack of dorms which is why they need this and have been making it easier for upperclassmen to live off campus. Eventually, they want to have enough new residences to remove the 3 dorms at the top of the hill, but not anytime soon and not if enrollment continues to grow as it has been.
  7. The only thing starting soon here will be the renovation of Fribley, the dining hall, so I assume it's part of that.
  8. I asked around today, but nobody had heard anything in quite a while about that project
  9. This new building's street presence is awesome. It really completes uptown and ties it all together. Oh and they're adding windows now:
  10. Plans for new CWRU student residence hall on the Southside of campus: The ~$72 million building will have 600 residences for 2nd year students.
  11. I don't think anyone has posted the site plan yet for the St. Clements townhouses so here you go:
  12. There was no specification of if they counted it as BRT but I'm guessing not since this was federal data and the 51ABC doesn't count as BRT by most definitions.
  13. I compiled the 2018 and 2019 ridership statistics up to November (December isn't out yet). HR=heavy rail MB=bus RB=bus rapid transit LR=light rail Pretty disappointing overall. Part of the heavy rail loss of ridership can be attributed to the excessive amount of track work we had this past year. The one other positive statistic worth pointing out is the BRT (HealthLine) ridership stats. While ridership was lower for the first half of 2019, the later months of 2019 actually saw much higher ridership than 2018. Something really needs to be done and quickly.
  14. http://planning.city.cleveland.oh.us/designreview/brd/detailDR.php?ID=3400&CASE=EAST 2020-003 New design case for Brooks/CCF Biorepository. Both this case and the coinciding building permit from yesterday have it at 9800 Cedar.
  15. Remember the apartment project at E 70th that was approved back in July? Last week's Euclid Corridor planning commission agenda had it on again for "building modifications." Anyone have any details?
  16. A bit later than I expected but construction permits were filed today for the 12th and Ave Condos!
  17. Forgot to mention, both of the Larchmere Mixed use projects were approved by the planning commission. Also UnBar, a mocktail bar, is opening on the street on Monday. www.cleveland.com/entertainment/2020/01/unbar-creates-alcohol-free-hangout-in-larchmere.html?outputType=amp
  18. https://www.crainscleveland.com/real-estate/four-story-apartments-proposed-battery-park A bit behind urbanohio as always but crains has some more detailed info.
  19. Lettering coming along now
  20. It was condemned in 2013. And while $100k may sound like a great deal, the permit for redeveloping it states a job value of $700k. And I imagine it will probably add up to more than that in the end.
  21. 3026 Scranton, an old ~15k sq ft commercial building is being redeveloped into apartments. Not much info about specifics yet but estimating 12-16 units.
  22. Pictures for 121 Larchmere!
  23. It's not the Centennial, and it's not coming to downtown.
  24. Centennial is the conversion of 925 Euclid to a mixed use building. Nothing about a fortune 500.
  25. https://www.cleveland.com/community/2020/01/developer-unveils-plans-for-121-larchmere-apartment-mid-rise-office-space.html?outputType=amp Plans for 121 Larchmere! Also love the mention that there previous work, One University Circle, is at 95% occupancy.
